Anyone feel like their vagina is smaller post baby?

I expected having a baby to stretch me out, but it seems the opposite has happened! Hubby and I tried to DTD at about 7 weeks PP and it was so painful he couldn't even get it in. I thought it was just too early and I was still swollen. So we waited for a long time and tried again last night at 16 weeks PP. We were successful this time, but I still feel way smaller than I was before baby, and he agreed. It was quite uncomfortable but we still managed. How is it possible that my vagina is smaller than before???
