Anyone get pregnant after husband's recent vasectomy?

Hi everyone

My husband had a vasectomy almost 9 weeks ago. The finalization of it has just recently set in and now I want to try and have a third. My husband would be happy if we could get pregnant, but we're thinking it might be too late. The doctor told him he would most likely be clear after 12-20 ejaculations and he's at 19 (we had sex last night and I'm close to ovulation so fingers crossed!) He hasn't gone back in to get his semen analysis yet because we're saving what's left (if any, lol) and trying to get pregnant with that!

So I guess my question is has anyone else been in this situation and gotten pregnant?

It seems pretty rare but can happen. It also seems to take a few years if it does. But if you do change your mind you could always have a reversal.

We got my husband's reversed last year and are TTC. He was 20+ years out when he got his reversed. If you both want to have more kids, I would get it reversed sooner rather than later and opt for more baby friendly BC.

I have met a lot of couples who have regreted not waiting on the vas or having it at all.
