Hi
I saw yesterday that UK midwives, along with NHS staff, are going on strike on the 13th October for 4 hours from 7am. Just my luck that my 12 week scan and antenatal appt is at 10.30am that day so just within the window
I'm waiting for a call back from my midwife to find out what happens in this situation. I had a miscarriage in June at 7 weeks so am incredibly anxious to get to my first scan and am praying that it doesn't get put back by much.
I do wholeheartedly agree with them going on strike action though, as long as women and babies are not going to suffer as a result. Our nurses and midwifes should be paid what they're worth, which is more than they are currently getting.
Anyone else going affected by this??
