Anyone got a tattoo of their OHs name?

I have OH's name on my lower back (tramp stamp lol) I wanted it so I got it, people dont have to look at it if they dont want to but I love it and tbh the only time anyone would see it is if I wear a bikini and thats one item of clothing I dont own :)

OH said he won't get my name tattooed on him which I obviously don't expect because it's his body and he does with it what he wants I wouldn't make him. It's just the funny thing is he has his own name tattooed on his arm haha x

In case he forgets? :haha: See, I don't mind children's names, but I think getting your own name is a bit silly :haha:

I will be getting a chinese dragon in between my shoulder blades with DH's & the kids' names in chinese writing down my spine.

He thinks i'm just getting the kids names so will be surprising him with it

This is what I said when we first met haha. He actually was really drunk with his best friend and they were originally going to get each other's name but decided to get their own instead. He regrets not getting his mates though as he died a few years ago. So even though he was drunk he loves the tattoo because it reminds him of his mate xx

No I wouldn't because personally (and this is JUST my opinion) i think tattoos are for men, they look too masculine on a woman. I HATE seeing a female covered in tattoos or with ANY that are visible..it just doesn't look feminine to me and for example if my mum or nan had one i would fine it really bizarre but not so much my dad or grandad iykwim

Again just my OPINION so please nobody take it offensive x

No i dont like tattoos on women at all I was just stating that I dont like seeing them. I worded it wrong. People have different tastes though, I do think some tattoos look really nice but to me it will always seem a "masculine" thing.

Fair enough :flower: I think you'll find a lot of women disagree, but hey ho.

no i wouldnt dont want to offend anyone but i kind of find it a bit tacky

i know someone that got her partners name tattooed on her and then she got bored of him and split up with him. she then got with another guy who she did marry and got his name tattooed on her and they are now divorced

it kind of looks like shes got a journal of ex's going on :haha:

I get the what if we split up argument as I used to think the exact same thing, however me and my partner committed to having a child together which is a much bigger commitment than a tattoo. A tattoo can be covered up or even removed if you have the money. My OH will always be my daughter's father.

I would never get another mans name tattooed on me. My OH gave me two beautiful boys (I dont intend on having any more kids) and regardless of what happens in the future (touch wood) I would never cover his name, he is my boys daddy and always will be :flower:

Ohhhhh and I should have said I have been with my OH for almost 18 years :)

I have my husbands initials on my ring finger, on the inside if you see what I mean. I would never get his name. I only got his initials because I don't like wearing my ring, it just means he's still there, even if my ring isn't.

Also, if he does the dirty or whatever, it'll be easy to cover.

He has my name in big letters on his wrist though. I don't like it to be honest. Nice thought though.

There's an old saying "Love lasts forever, but tattoos last 6 months longer'.

were getting the ring thing done at xmas ...so love the idea!

My OH is the same. When I said it to him when we first met he just rolled his eyes haha x

DH and I have matching eternity symbols on our arms. I don't have his name, but I have considered getting it. I think what he and I have decided is, if we ever get something matching again, to get the first initial of each others name. (I would get an "H" and he'd get a "K"). I love our matching tattoos and will never regret getting it. :)

I was looking at some other ideas rather then names, and came across the puzzle piece where one gets the actual puzzle piece and the other one the space for it to fit. Which i loved!

I may get something that symbolises DF one day, he has his daughters name on his arm and said when we have kids their names will get done too.

On the note of having names tattooed I came across this photo and it made me chuckle! He must really love Brenda!

I have the first letter of my hubbys name on the inside of my ankle and he has the first letter of my name on the top of his thigh. We got them done on our 10 year anniversary he is the love of my life and even if we did split not that i can see it happening he is still the dad to 3 of my children and is my best friend.

Me and OH actually spoke about this last night as he didn't actually like the idea of me getting his name at first but came round to get a "his and hers" one. So that we both get something to go together and I think that's probably a better idea...in my eyes anyway x
