We sure do :(

We have a little boy whos 14 months at the moment and I cannot wait to give him a sibling. We are aiming to try later in the year allowing us to hopefully get pregnant by the start of 2013 (Took us around 6 months to conceive DS)

Now the only goal we have to accomplish is to save for a deposit for a new house as our current house is no where near big enough for a family of four.

So realistically we would like to have around 10k before trying and then continue to save whilst trying. Not anticipating that a new baby will cost us too much as we already have pram etc from DS.

So the dream is to be pregnant and be able to move house before crimbo 2013.

We have just started to fingers crossed I can keep motivated :)

Anyone else out there got some big goals to accomplish before they begin to try?

Feel free to add them here and we can encourage each other whatever your goal may be :)

I am trying to lose as much weight as I can before I conceive and also trying to save up, just to buy baby stuff that we'll need.

By the way.....your dog is the cutest!! I love huskies :) x

Pay off a couple of small debts we have so we're completely debt free :) (if you forget student debt lol........) but that's not why we're waiting as such but need to get it done this year. And then I would like DS to be in a bed and potty trained, we will try when he's 2 and 3 months ish, but other than that we're good to go :)

Thanks Vonnie

Unfortunately we dont have our doggy anymore :( We had to re-home him due to the baby, he was such a lively dog and I just felt it was too dangerous to have him jumping around with the baby here. Plus the hairs were all over the house. Imiss him so much but he is loving his new home so im glad hes getting a better quality of life.

Well im sure ul do great in the weight loss mission and at least u have 2 things to focus on whilst you wait.

Aww, thats a shame.

We have a chocolate lab who will be 3 in May and he is very lively aswell, I swear he thinks he's a kangaroo. I'm hoping he's calmed down a bit by the time we have baby! x

I want to start a job that I would like to go back to, lose a little weight and get married. All doable in 8 months or so right?

Yeh HazzaB defo do-ible :)

So far a mix of reasons which is good and a place to post some progress. S o whatever your reasons for WTT we can all post how we are doing right here :)

My targer for this month is to save 1k. So far got £300 away and payday on the 28th should allow for another £700 to be put away. If it wasnt for road tax and hubies bday i could have had alot more :) Worked alot of overtime last month

We're basically ready but are waiting to move house in May. We also needed hubby to pass his driving test and to get a car but he/we achieved that in November, yay! It was quite an emotional/worrying one as he hadn't previously been allowed to take a driving test as he had a brain tumour causing epilepsy (he's fine now). Our move also rested on this as we're moving to the middle of nowhere and him not driving really wasn't an option.

So now it's all definitely happening we're basically twiddling our thumbs until the move; in the meantime we're saving as much as possible and getting a bit healthier, the usual I guess.

I have a large chunk of a work-related project that I'd like to finish first. Not so much because I couldn't still be working on it while I'm pregnant, but more because it is stressful (not so good for baby) and because if I know I got it done, it takes some pressure off me down the line about the time I'd be giving birth/having a newborn. I really need to finish it by early summer at the very latest, but if I could have it done by April/May, that would be a relief and an even bigger green light to start TTC. It's not a house (I'd love one of those too, but we will need to move again in another 2-3 years anyway), but it would be good to know I made it through that career hurdle and am ready for the next chapter of life.

-Save a deposit for a house! 18k to go until our target :o :'(
-Finish uni: 2 and a half years to go!
-Work full time for 1 year once graduating, to get confident in my job
-Buy the perfect house
-Get married

Ahhh by looking at all that it looks like i will be WTT for a long time :(

Waiting until I make sure that when I start trying, by the time LO would be due, I would have finished my degree and so would OH. We are starting trying on our 5 year anniversary (10/11/12) so then by time LO would be due if I fall on first month trying it would be July/August and I finish my degree in May.

I graduate in July provided I move my butt on my dissertation! I would like to move house some time in the near future we are in a 2 bed flat at the moment, but we are in so much negative equity we won't be able to do that for ages so I'm having to let that one go. We will probably have to rent this place out.

I've got 2 businesses which I want to really get off the ground and I am in the running to get a full time job at an amazing company that will mean me travelling to Brazil and Hong Kong each year.....

But all I want is another baby! Am I crazy? Yes! But all I ever wanted was a family, my own babies to love. Everything else can wait!

we have been waiting for our house deposit and also to get a newer and bigger car. We have two dogs and need an estate car really if we are to get baby items in it aswell.

After alot of hard work we got our house deposit just before xmas and now are going through the steps to buy our home.
We have got 600 pounds so far to go towards the car so not long now til we have everything out of the way.

I guess we are ntnp right now to be honest but if i say that i get too excited and stressy so ill stick with wtt for now! lol xx

Nikkibrum thats great uve saved your deposit. I so wish it was me but I know Il get there. How much deposit did you save and in what time frame if you dont mind me asking,

My current goals before TTC at the end of last year was to get new wardrobe and redecorate our bedroom - which we did before christmas one big job ticked off the list! Just got the curtains and a few fiddly bits to sort but pretty much completed bedroom.
Next will be carpet the lounge, and new flooring at front door. Whilst doing this will probably redecorate the lounge as well at the same time. Bit of wallpapering and painting, new blind etc.
Thats all for the house. I want to have one last big holiday, the two of us. Husband and wife before a little one comes along.
Husband wants to get a garage... but it seems will be quite expensive so not sure when that will happen.
I already have started saving for a baby fund (however husband says to use if for the holiday... ) I have been working most weekends for the last 2 years at a 2nd job - initially to save for our wedding in New Zealand (where I'm from) which was last year in June - now saving for the future. I need £5000 for 6months of household bills that I would normally pay - so if I have 6months off work need at least that much. I currently have £4000 so just 1 grand more then put it in an instant ISA account or something like that. Then any extra money I will use for the rest, holidays and house DIY.
I have weekends lined up from Jan right through to the end of March, extra dosh!
I have started my diet also - would like to get down to a healthy BMI for my 30th Birthday in June - and signed up to do the Edinburgh Half Marathon which is in April another wee personal goal something to focus on whilst WTT... and hopefully talk Husband round to getting a definate TTC date.

We need to purchase a car - but we've already saved quite a bit for that
I also have 4 exams I have to write for work to attain my auditing designation. I'm thinking that should take me about a year.

We're hoping that we'll be able to complete all these things in the next year but I guess we'll have to see where life takes us! *fingers crossed*

I would like to lose weight about two stone. Also want to try and save money.

I'd like to lose at least a stone before trying as I'm overweight now and that would put me back in healthy range!

It's a good incentive... Look at cake and think "would you prefer that or a baby?" and skip away! Lol!

Good luck to everyone in achieving their goals!x

We are kind of NTNP as much i would love to be pregnant now :) i would really like to finish college with my bachelors and get down to a healthy weight :)
