I had mine done yesterday and was really pleased with the result but after waking up this morning I already feel like they're back to the way they were. I haven't eaten anything dark, had a stir fry for tea, have been drinking orange juice.

The woman who did it didn't explain any aftercare apart from saying don't drink coke, tea/coffee etc and don't eat curry. I looked online this morning and it says teeth are more open for 24-48 hours so anything that would stain a white t-shirt will stain your teeth. She never explained anything like that at all.

I've just sent this message on Facebook:
Hey,
Was really pleased with my teeth yesterday but already feel like they look stained again. Is this possible?

I really don't want to come across as being horrible but I don't feel that you explained the aftercare process that well - I've had to look online to find that my teeth are more 'open' for 24-48 hours. I know you did say not to eat/drink any dark coloured things which I haven't but if you had told me that I would have only eaten bread or something for a couple of days as can't afford to keep having it done.

To be honest I was expecting you explain the whole procedure a bit more, it would have been nice if you'd taken five mins before starting to explain the procedure and aftercare to me. I felt a bit in the way really, especially when other people came into the salon and you were chatting with them.

Really sorry if this comes across as harsh but I know you've just started in there so wanted to give you a bit of feedback so you could take it into consideration for other customers. You're a lovely person, I'm just a little disappointed that I've paid for this treatment and feel like because the aftercare process wasn't properly explained I may as well have not had it done.

Thanks xx

Is that reasonable? Anyone who has had this done, how long did yours last? Xx

Hi I've not actually had it done but your message sounds perfectly reasonable
If that was me receiving a message from a client I would offer a consultation and if they had gone back the colour before due to lack of aftercare due to not taking you through the proper proecedue then.I'd offer you the process again ans explain properly. That's if she values her reputation at all. How.much did you pay?

It was on offer for £50 as the salon only opened this week. Normally it'd be £120. If she doesn't want to do anything about it it's not the end of the world and I'll just put it down to experience but am hoping my message gives her some guidance for the future.

I felt horribly in the way as when she was leaving me for the treatment to work her partner and children came in and she was chatting away right outside the door it was a bit unprofessional really.

Thanks for your reply xx

My sister was given an aftercar sheet, explaing that theyll be a bit sensitive for a few days, what to avoid etc. I cant remember it saying about them being 'open' though.

I run a business and always looking for feedback on how things could be improved - i wouldnt count what you said coming across as rude

I was thinking earlier actually it would have been good to get a leaflet or something. Being open think that means they're more pourus and susceptible to staining.

She got back to me and offered another session in two weeks which was nice. Hope it's not awkward when I go! Xx

Aw good least shes offered another session is it free?

Its great shes got back to you. I would suggest an aftercare sheet to her, she could easily print them off herself - at least shes covered :)

Yea, free.
Gonna do that, means she doesn't end up having to give out loads of freebies! Lol xx
