anyone had scan done & showed bit around uterus?

hi we have been ttc for a year now...had scans done in june & july & both showed fluid above & behind uterus. I wasnt worried about this until now.....having my hycosy done on mon & ive been reading up about the precdure & one of the causes of blocked fallopian tube is down to a infection...which is when the tube fills with fluid & then pours into the uterus.....im scared the fluid i have is this...i know i should prob just wait til mon & stop thinking negatively but im just sooo worried as i only have the 1 tube is if there is something wrong with it then ivf is my only option which i cant afford...have 1 daughter who is 4 so the nhs wont fund it.

I have heard of this condition before I think it's called Hydrosalpinx https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrosalpinx, my auntie has got this and has conceived a baby through IVF a few years back. I'm not affected myself, not that I know anyway... but I very much understand your worries. I also got a daughter and we couldn't afford IVF at the moment (don't know if ever) this is one of the reasons I'm so scared to have tests done. Try not to worry too much there is nothing you can do until you get your test results. I know this is easier said than done, I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

thank you Linn.....i phoned my doctor this morning & he has just phoned me back & said a small amount of free fluid in uterus is seen as normal so im not worrying as much now. i asked him about the procedure im having mon & he said its completely routine check & not to worry....the only thing i have to be concerned about is if i have an allergic reaction to the dye...he said its a very safe procdure tho.

im so sorry i kind of thought u already had it, i wish u best of luck. i had a BFP yesterday so im really ok.... still in shock though. please keep me updated... i pray it will come back all clear for you hun xx

just to let you know ive just got back from having the HyCoSy done & my right tube is all clear!!!! sooooooooo happy!!! hoping it has 'flushed' anything there & im more fertile now xxx

thats fantastic news hunny i hope u will get that BFP soon now, i think i got mine because i used preseed, dont think it will work for anyone but worth a try.

i am so pleased, i know how worried u were... im always worrying... now i got my BFP and still im really worried.
