Hi

Just got test results of a CT scan from last week, I cant see my Dr until Friday to find out what they actually mean, have googled a lot but just cant find any answers so wondered if any of you guys had anything similar ever.

Ive been told my endometrium is rather irregular, and my cervix is inflamed. I have regular smears so Im sure its not the big C, but apart from that I can't really find any reasons for the irregularity. The inflamation seems to be some reaction to something rather than a cause in itself. Ive had tests for all STD's and pretty much every other blood test they could find a form for.

Ive had abdomen pain for around 3 years - had 2 ultrasounds, first one showed that the lining of womb was thin and Dr said I probably wasnt ovulating, 2nd one was normal, GP says I am ovulating.

Ive had high white count and platelets for a year (maybe longer, who knows) which is why they started looking for the cause. Seems like theyve finally found it.

I really cant just sit and wait til Friday with no idea of what it potentially could be, going nuts already and its only been 3 hours.

Hi cranberry,
I haven't heard of this type of problem, but I just wanted to say good luck to you and I hope they are able to give you some answers soon. I'm sure it is a very nerve-racking time for you :hugs::hugs:

Waited a week for a phone appt with my gp, to be told that I need an exam - another 2 weeks wait.

Seems like theres nothing major going on, on a kinda seperate thing, looks like ive had a miscarriage, didnt even know I was pregnant, kinda ok about it, because at least it shows im ovulating, which i was worrying about.

Hi Cranberry,
Really sorry about your MC :(
Unfortunately it could also explain the CT appearance of your endometrium that you described.
As far as your cervix goes - Inflammation is (pretty much by definition) your body's reaction to something - unfortunately it's a very non-specific thing (i.e. could be a big range of things that cause it). I've even seen appearances of inflammation after particularly vigorous BDing! (and that was a bloody awkward conversation).

I know it sounds impossible, but you're best option is to wait for advice from the quack, TRY not to google and stress yourself.
If you do think you might have MC'd, you could go to your local hospital (ideally go to the same one you had the CT scan) to get checked out. While you're there you could ask them about the CT results as well - if you're in the UK they will almost certainly have access to the results electronically via PACS.

:)

Thanks for the info. I'm feeling a bit less scared than I was - the crappy GP i spoke to on the phone was at least able to reassure me that it didnt seem to be anything too major going on so just going to wait to see my own GP in 10 days.

Glad I could help even a little bit.
FX'd everything will go well
:)
