I'm pregnant again with my 4th, and my GP seems concerned with me going for a 4th section. Is there anyone who has good stories of a fourth or more?

Yep, me!
I just had my 6th on 9/30
Came home 48 hrs later and now 4 days later we are doing great :)

I will say this time - number 6 - my dr was super nervous the whole pregnancy (even though #5 went to term and I was cleared for another).

I was labeled high risk for the first time, was on modified bed rest from 20 weeks on, saw an extra Doctor, had ultrasounds every other week to measure the lower uterine segment and they delivered at 36 weeks (not optional, and even told me we'd be lucky to get there, expect hospital monitoring, etc.)

BUT - the measurement of the LUS stayed at 2.0mm from about 30 weeks on, it never shrunk again, and baby was big & healthy. When my dr got in, she said the wall was 2mm but it was super tight muscle and it took 3 slices to get through it. So, I could of even had another but we decided to close this chapter and get a tubal.

THANK YOU!!! Thank you for sharing!!! My GP even threw the idea of termination out there. But he's pretty nervous and already sent me to a high risk specialist. I will get my rubes tied this time too. Apparently I have a lot of scar tissue. That's why they're concerned. Does that stretch too?

As for being born at 36 weeks, that doesn't concern me at all. Both my boys were born around then. My first at 36+5 and my other at 35+6. They were both perfectly healthy.

Oh my gosh, that seems extreme (termination!)
Did this dr do your last c/s?

With my 5th, my dr told me that I had little to no scar tissue and she was really astonished with how great everything looked in there. That's when she said we were good for another. So, I dont know if a lot of scar tissue would of changed her mind...

It was quite surprising when, at my 20 week scan, she was so freaked out (ultrasound showed extreme thinning at 20 weeks and she didnt think we would make it much farther).
So, it turns out she was right about the exact measurement but that really didn't give her enough information....I say this because, no one can really predict what's going to happen...but I'd be sure to have a doctor that supported your decision.

If you do have another, be prepared for some sort of bed rest as the baby gets bigger, and an early delivery (sounds like you know about that!)

Yeah it thought so too. I'm already pregnant. That's the problem. I'm slightly concerned. I'm also wondering if it's twins.

I'm hoping the rest of my uterus will stretch and the scar tissue won't affect it.

I'll be having my 4th section on Nov 4. Praying it all goes well. Will try and update here after.

go to another dr for a 2nd opinion!

It's already too late for that. But I do have an appointment on the 19th with a specialist.

Youre only 6wks, its not too late to switch providers or go talk to one!

Oh I'm sorry. I thought you meant about talking about my chances of pregnancy. Yes, I'm going to see a specialist. I'm guessing my GP was just saying it cause he "Had to"? I don't know. He's very supportive! Just when he threw it out there I was taken aback.
