Anyone have reed fish? (eel type things)

We have two reed fish, had then about 3 months now, no problems at all. then three nights ago we found one dead on the floor, clearly got out of the tank somehow, there is only the tiniest of gaps.

Anyway, today, we found the the other one dead on the floor Im so gutted.

We heard they can jump and can live out of water for a bit, but they hadn't attempted anything before and now in less than a week we lost both.

Not sure if we should try and get more or not. anyone had them?

Both of ours got out too, it went all hard when it died eeewww. I didnt get anymore as it freaked me out. I think they get out often x

Thanks hun, yeah our both went hard and black! eck! Oh spent half the evening trying to get the one tonight to flush away!

Sounds like it happens a lot looking online but it does say the survive for several hours so that makes me feel bad for not finding them in time.

Cant do much now.
