Hi,

I have this swing, and feel like it swings WAY too fast, even on the slowest setting! It almost feels like it's going to swing my baby out of it! LOL
Is it just me? Just my swing? Or does anyone else feel like this about it?

I also have one and when Emily was a newborn ,I thought the silly swing was going to throw her right out of it. I have found that since it runs on batteries it runs slower as the baby gains weight. My daughter just loves the music and mobile so we only used that for the first month or so.

Yeah, we're just using the music and the mobile right now too, and kind of swinging it manually LOL...I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's too fast for a small baby!

I am wondering if something is wrong with your swings? I have this swing for my 3 week old that I have used since day one and I turn it up to setting 5. I don't think it is fast at all... but maybe something is wrong with mine?

I think it might be all Fisher Price swings because I've got the rainforest swing and found it very fast. It is ok now Ella is bigger but when she was about a month I didn't really put her in it.

I have the mocha butterfly one, and it is ridiculously fast! but mine has the option of battery or plug in and its a lil slower on battery, but plug in, watch out!

Hey Hun it does slow down when they weigh more, but for now what I did is put a blanket under babies bum and let it hang it slows down the swing b

Thanks ladies, I guess I'll just have to wait until Hana is a bit bigger before I can swing her in it...it's not a big deal, she loves it even when it's not swinging :)

um not to be rude  did you read my post about the blanket? if you use a heavy blanket it will slow down to a sway....

Same here...it is too fast when they are first born. I LOVE this swing and it's one of my fave baby purchases but in the early days we could not use the swing function, I would simply give it a push once in a while.

Now that my LO is older it's fine as long as it's on the lowest setting.

You would think that if enough people sent the manufacturer a note about the issue it could be fixed for future models.

I did read your post, sorry. I tried it, it didn't seem to make a difference in the swing speed. It may not have been a heavy enough blanket though, but at the moment, I can't find one heavier. Thank you for the suggestion though.

oh ok  i let mine drag on the floor so if its going side to side put it on the side it its going forward and back put it at the front....

Thanks, I'll play around with it and see if I can get it to slow it down...

i hope it helps i know how disappointed i was...

This sounds like something my lo might like as she loves being jiggled quite violently lol.

Just looked it up and it's not available in the UK grr.
