I am 12.5 weeks but have a sono from 6 weeks 3 days! Hubby and I are so excited for baby and are extremely excited and blessed no matter what baby M is!!! However still fun to guess right!? ill attach my sono pic. It was a trans vag and I believe how you're looking at it is how ot is as there is a big L on left side of pic! (Does that mean left on them? Haha) here it is heres my beautiful peanut!!!

You should try ingender, they were right with my 6wk transabdominal scan. Baby is a girl, she implanted left. Im a bit confused by it myself but theres alot of sonographers on ingender that know their stuff xx

I'm gonna go with boy because the theory says the placenta building right of the baby is boy and that looks like the case for you please update because I am so curious! I've been researching this too

I actually put this pic on ingender and someone said girl! Haha I'm still not exactly sure how to look at it so I'm unsure which is correct! What is your sono saying for you!?

I BELIEVE mine is saying boy. But then again I keep getting so confused with this theory haha. I have determined that transvaginal ultrasounds are not flipped images unless the sonographer manually flips the image. So the right of your u/s pic is truly the right. My baby was clearly posted on the right side with the yolk sac but they say the placenta is the brighter shades of white around the uterus which mine seems to be all the way on the other side on the left ! Haha I can't imagine the placenta being that far away from the baby but who knows lol. Can't wait to hear what you're having . I'll know what mine is in 12 days

It is so confusing! I have read though it is not where yolk sac is if that helps at all! Someone said girl for me and I'm guessing its because baby seems to be facing left and on left side? I dont know lol! How far along are you!? I go for my next appointment a week from today which is 15.5 weeks but i have to schedule an abnormality scan for18 weeks which is usually when they do gender scan and 3D. Do you have a slight preference over another ?

I am 16w3d. I went for an elective u/s last week and we got the gender determined but we don't know the results . My best friend does and is holding them until our reveal party on the 26th. Talk about torture! Lol. So in the meantime I'm still trying to figure it out on my own haha. & i also heard it's not based on the yolk sac. But the baby was facing to the right around 6 weeks so that's another reason I didn't think the placenta would be building behind it all the way on the left side. I think I just can't tell where the placenta is .ill upload a pic for u lol.as far as preference, we already have a girl so I would love to have a boy . But we were looking at baby clothes yesterday and I fell in love all over again with little girl stuff lol. So either would be just fine ! Plus my daughter wants a sister. She has made it clear she does NOT want a brother . Haha she's at that age..

This was 6w3d. You can see 2 little dots where the leg buds were forming at the bottom of the baby . The top is the head and to the right is the sac . However , I'm not sure why the doctor measured kind of diagonally like that. Who knows .

Haha I love that she wants just a little sister! Because no matter what it is she will go through that I want to be an only child again phase! (My sister was the first born out of all my moms side.... when my cousin came along she hated her haha they became the best of friends eventually though! I dont think she always liked me too mich either lol)

Im going to guess boy for you because its on the right side so I would think thats where placenta would form! That would be an awfully long placenta to reach the other side! I know in our case baby came from right side and gestational sac was right side (hopefully I'm saying that right) but baby was left side of the sac at 6.5 weeks. So confusing! I couldnt tell anything at first from that sono like where placenta would form and such just saw that baby looks like pac man and had a tiny fluttery heart beat! Did some research and thats about all I know from ramzi lol

& that's funny about your sister because my daughter was the first for everyone as well. So she's trying to get used to this idea. She says she's excited I just know the jealousy stage will be coming . She already got a little jealous that I have been focused on planning this party. Oh boy lol

all I can tell you is that it was correct for my DD#2 and incorrect for DD#3 (haven't had an US this early with DD#1

so therefore 50/50

My anomoly scan is in 2 weeks but I scheduled a perfect preview gender determination at a place we have here for tomorrow!

Ahhhhh congrats!!!!!!! so do you think the sono was flipped and we were reading it wrong or that the theory was just wrong!?

Haha sounds like my family! We have a girl kitty, a daughter, me, & another on the way! DH says he's going to get a boy dog or something haha.
