Anyone know about sperm life???

Hi all,

I basically would like to know if anyone has any idea how long sperm can survive inside. My Fiance is going away for a week and I ovulate 2/3 days after he goes .

Hoping I don't have right this month off already

You should be ok, a few people have said that they can survive up to 5 days in the right conditions!OH & I were only able to BD 2 days before O this month. No harm in trying! xx

Dtd a few times b4 he goes and night b4 and morning to give the swimmers a head start. 5 days is the max they can live so as long as u do plenty BD u should be in with a good chance

Yes, I've also heard like 3-5 days so get it in before he goes!!!

They can live for up to a week but normally its up to 72 hours

BD at the very last second possible - like right before he heads out the door. I've read sperm can live for several days - that's exceptional - but for most sperm it's more like 3 days. And it's the sperm that actually makes it to the fallopian tubes that survive that long because conditions in the tubes are perfect for them.
