Anyone know what your baby weighs at 36 weeks?

I had a visit today at 36w, 1 day...doctor guessed 6.5 pounds.

Me too my scan showed a big head....ouch

eek!! i think mine were all average except short legs but that was ALOT of growing ago!!! i've heard that weight estimates from scans can be 2lb out either way tho, so not too accurate anyway. well, that's what i'm reminding myself while they leave me to cook this monster a bit longer....

Thanks all. So out of interest were those of you weighing 6-6.5 lb measuring around 36cm on the bump measurement the MW does?

My scan at 29+3 showed baby at 3 lbs 2 oz which they said was 54%ile

Scan at 34+3 showed baby approx 5 lbs which they said was 46%ile. ( my fundal height at 33+3 was 37!)

Scan at 37 weeks showed baby weighing 6 lbs 10 oz which is 60 some %ile. Hc measured 37 weeks, ac measured 36+5, and femur was 37+1. FH 3 days before that was 36.

My last scan with Megan was 36+6 showed all her measurements between 32-34 weeks and weighing only 4 1/2- 5 lbs. She was born 1 day later at 37 weeks weighing 5 lbs 14 oz which that birth weight put her in 12%ie compared to other babies born at 37 weeks we were told.

I think it's all a bit of a guess until they arrive! Hoping that's not too long I am so anxious to meet him/ her!

Saw the midwife last Wed at 35 weeks, 4 days pregnant. She said the baby was measuring big and estimated the weight to be 6lb 11oz

At my 36 week appointment my little man was estimated to weigh 7 pounds.

I was born at exactly 36 weeks and I weighed 8lbs, my daughter was born st 37 weeks and weighed 8lbs 10oz - so that does seem a little small!!

I'm 32 weeks and had a scan today baby is 4lb 3oz

I guess that's pretty much average? Do you mind me asking if you bump measures 35-36? MW said I can't get a growth scan unless measuring 3cm ahead

Thanks! Lucky you we don't get growth scans here unless the suspect baby is big or small. Best of luck with the next 4ish weeks!

I had a scan today and I am 35+6. Twin A's weight now is 2971 g or 6 lb and 8.79 oz and Twin B's is 2902g or 6 lb and 6.36 oz. According to the graph and the tech these weights are average also for singletons

Your boys are a fantastic size. You have done them both proud!

My LO was guesstimated at 6.5lbs at 35 weeks so I'm expecting at least another 8.5 lber. My 9lb 9oz boy was much easier to birth than my 8lb 2 oz girl!....

Thank you! It is a relief to know they have a good weight cause I am getting a section on the 28th. I am hoping they will get over the 3000 g or 3 kilo limit by then. I know they will lose some after birth and the more they weigh at first the better
