Hi all,

My partner and I thinking about TTC in July, and I am really nervous about telling my boss when I do become pregnant. I am only 22 so they probably aren't expecting me to have a baby just yet! Anyone else feel the same, what was it like when you told your boss you were pregnant?

My boss was fantastic, I was worried about telling him as there are two of us doing the same job, but my colleague is retiring in 13 months so there would only be me - likelyhood is there won't be either of us for 3 months or so until I return to work so I feel like I'm leaving him in the lurch. As it was he squealed, said congratulations, asked lots of questions, gave me his mobile number and told me to text if I was ill and wanted to stay home any day, or if I needed to go home early, and generally he's just been amazingly supportive.

Yes!! Am on maternity leave and due to go back in June but want another baby so would be ttc in April or may. So I might be going back preggo!! There are already 2 off on mat leave! Eeek!

Hi,

I know the feeling! I'm petrified about telling my boss. I'm expecting again and my DD is 6 months old so I've been away from the business for over 7 months. I can't afford to lose my job so i've got to go back. It churns my stomach just thinking about it...and it's not morning sickness! lol.

Hi thanks for your replies,I am only one of two people who do my job too and the other person is around 30 and I am sure she will have children fairly soon, so I am going to be very nervous! I guess it is just one of those things that you have to do if you want children, I have been there four years so I think they have got enough out of me! Thanks again.

There are 3 of us in a very similar job at my work, all started trying about the same time, I felt it was a bit of a race as no one wants to be the last one to telll the boss! Neither of the other two are pregnant yet nearly a year on, so in reality I'll actually be almost back from maternity leave when they start it seems - what I'm saying is you can't plan for anyone else, and your boss will have to find a way to cope if you both fall pregnant at once so don't worry about it.
