I had PROM in my last pregnancy. I am not pregnant yet (well, could be, not sure yet) but saw my consultant a couple of weeks ago.
He just suggested that I am swabbed at 14 weeks (membranes ruptured at 14+5) to check for infection, as although no infection was found at the time of rupture, that doesn't mean there was none. I also asked him to swab to check for chlamydia, as although I don't have any reason to suspect it, I know it is symptomless and can be a cause of PROM.
Other than that I think it's simply a case of hoping for the best.
