Hi All!

It's been a long time since I've posted on here, I get so easily obsessed with symptom spotting and all that other stuff that I thought it was best to keep away whilst doing my three IUIs.

Needless to say they failed miserably and I cheered myself up on holiday with a cocktail (or five)...and a couple months break from all the TCC madness.

I couldn't stay away for long though as I've finally got my date through for my long protocol IVF, I don't know anyone else going through this in "real life" and the husband doesn't ever want to discuss the ins and outs so I was just wondering if anyone else is starting their IVF journey in September and wanted to chat their way through it with me?

x

:hi: Heya hun,

Im starting again in October sometime as im waiting for some test results to come back and they take anything up to 10weeks to come back!

I dont know of anyone going through the same things as me in my small circle of friends and colleagues - not that i suppose anyone would talk about it openly as i know i dont!

I look forward to chatting about the process with you! Do you know what meds u'll be on yet etc? xx

Hi ladies, I have a hysteroscopy booked for 30th September, then will hopefully be starting IVF in October. Would love to talk it through with you both!

Hi I'm starting my ivf at the end of September. This is my first ivf course so I'm excited but nervous too xxx

I feel as though this time waiting for the cycle to start is going to drag! Im working lots but still, the days seem to be dragging by! Im just so impatient.

Anyone know what protocol they'll be on when they start? xx

I know, I feel the same! I was expecting a long waiting list and to be starting next year, so when I was told October I was over the moon! But one we are only in August, it feel a like ages away lol.

I don't really know anything specific yet! They gave me an info pack but it doesn't really answer my questions about which protocol etc, it's just generic info. I am assuming I will be told more when I go for my hysteroscopy?!

Hi ladies.. Can I join? I should be starting injections the 29th of August if all goes well. They found a cyst at my scan before putting me on bcp, but since it came up not producing estrogen on my blood work I was given the ok to start my bcp until the 24th. Really hoping it goes away by my baseline scan, which is the 25th!!

Hi All!

Sorry for the late reply, and Keri I think I've spoken with you on an older thread previously, hopefully this year is our year :D

Beneathmywing we'll probably be starting around the same time, If I've timed my cycle correctly I reckon I'll start injecting around the 4th.

And Plex I'm on the long protocol with menopur, I'm not really sure why as I didn't respond that well to it during my iui's but they're upping it from 75 every other day to 150 ever day so hopefully that'll kick my follicles into action! I'm also taking, er, something beginning with B (i'll get more organised nearer the time...) to shut down my cycle and cyclogest after the ET. It''s the cyclogest I'm not looking forward too - apparently it's 3 times a day?!

Dimps - Buserelin? :) Hopefully the increased meds do the trick for you :D xx

Heres - October is soooooo far away!! I may even have to wait until November and that just does my head in! I want to start, like, today!! No kidding!

Hope u get some more info on whats what asap hun:D xx

Beneath - Good luck for your baseline scan hun - hope the cyst has gone and u are good to get started! xx

Really hoping this is a lucky thread! xxx

That's the one Plex!

And that'd be amazing Beneath, I really hope all of us get some luck, it's about time!

So where's everyone from? I'm in the UK so will be having my Ivf on the nhs, everything's riding on this cycle as it's a one attempt only rule where I live. I never thought I'd be wanting AF to start but I'm getting so impatient!

It would be amazing!!

New York here. I'm getting impatient as well. It'll be two weeks tomorrow I've been on the pill, only a week and a half to go! ahhhh.

Oh I'm jealous that you're living in New York! I visited last year for the first time and fell in love, obviously did all the touristy things but it's such a lovely city - and the shopping was incredible!

Not long now then, I'm probably going to start AF on Sunday so I'll be ringing the clinic on Monday to book my 5-8 day scan!

It isn't so nice when you actualy live here. Lol it's such a hectic city. Everyone is always in a rush!! I always wish people would just slow down and chill, but will never happen here haha.

The shopping is nice though!!

Hope you get af right on time so you can get things started :)

Dimps, I am in the uk aswell, so also doing this on the NHS. I Don't know how many attempts I get, but I think it may be two. I am intending to hone next week and ask a load of questions! Do your clinic do a patient info evening? I kind of assumed there would be one, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Ah so I've rang the clinic today and I have my first scan on Thursday, should then start first round of injections the following Saturday? I hate not knowing times, me and the husband want to book a weekend away in September but I don't want it to clash with the EC.

Here's - I didn't have a patient evening but I had a long 1hr one on one appointment with one of the directors of the clinic. It was supposed to be informative but the guy was a bit creepy, he kept rubbing his hands together and exclaiming how petite i am - I'm not btw, an average 5 ft 5 : /

Beneath - It was definitely manic when I visited! My legs didn't feel normal for at least a week afterwards, such a tiring holiday! I've just seen you have a blog too : ) I'll be reading through it later

Hi girls sorry I've not been on here much. I've been so busy my wedding is in 3 weeks. So I come back my honeymoon and AF is due the week later, I've to call them when it starts. They sent my nasal spray already. So nervous only my hubby to be knows about the ivf. We've been trying for over 4 years. I'm in the uk too. I get 2 rounds on the nhs.
How you all feeling ? X

Congrats on your wedding! How exciting!!! Hope everything goes well for you! fx.

Had an appt yesterday for my trial of transfer, which was a breeze. Good news! The cyst they saw when I started the bcp is gone!!! So excited and so so relieved. Last day of bcp is Sunday, baseline scan is Monday and if all goes well I start stims the following Friday (29th)!!!

Hello ladies, I hope to be starting my first ivf cycle end of September time
I'm waiting for af now but currently on cd55 so have provera to make it start as have a cyst preventing it, then the ivf will be on af after this one all being well

dimps - taking a break sounds good, we would like to go on hol but the only time I have booked off work is end of sept when i'll hopefully be starting the ivf anyway so going to give up on the idea of a hol for now lol

plex - we could be starting the same time as although I hope it will be end of sept with my cycles could be oct. I just hope I don't have another annovulatory cycle after this one as the ivf will be delayed if I get another cyst

heres hoping - hope the hysteroscopy goes well, I'm sure you will get more answers then, the waiting game is the worst but every appointment gets us one step closer :)

keri - I'm with you on the excited but nervous feeling, I'm itching to start asap!

beneathmywing - hello again, just replied to another thread you are on too :)

I'm doing the short protocol and will be:

CD1-5 gonal f pen
CD5 until egg collection gonal f pen and cetrotide
36 hrs before egg collection- hcg trigger start progesterone
Day of transfer - buserelin injection

lets hope this is a lucky thread for us all
