doc has got me on aspirin for my pregnancy.

it has to be dissolved and it like swallowing swimming pool water it makes me gag.

does anyone know if I can dissolve it in dilute juice?

I'm on aspirin too. Doc just told me to have 75mg a day so I just take the tablets. Doc didn't say it had to be dissolved. What's reason did he give for using dissolvable aspirin rather than tablets?

I got dissolvable ones I limit the water and just down it lol

I think dissolvable ones enter ur system more quickly than tablets but not sure

I didn't know they did a tablet I thought the reason they are dissolvable was cos they harsh on your tummy pharmacy said that they can burn hole in tummy if they swallowed whole

If it's one every day there's no need to dissolve it - although it might be slightly better for your stomach lining, but I buy a gastro-resistant tablet I can swallow.

If in doubt check with your doctor but if you're on the 75mg tablet you don't need a prescription and you can buy any type you like.

I'll have ask the doc about that next time I see him then. I just bought them from supermarket as they were the right dosage and only £1.
Thinking about it I should get them on prescription as I get prescriptions free now but not sure it's worth the hassle or not.
Anyway, when I was a kid I could never swallow pills and so my mum always gave me dissolvable tablets with squash. No reason you can't do that. Still doesn't taste amazing though!

You can take dispersable aspirin without dissolving them, don't worry. X

I'm prescribe them and they're the dissolvable ones, but you can swallow them in one go as well. Can't see why you couldn't take them with some cordial or something.

 Wriggley your phamacist told you that, when there are much higher doesed aspirin on the shelf for sale all the time? That is shocking and false information, deserves a complaint IMO.

If you are in the UK OP you can get them here not disolvable https://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Aspirin-75mg-Enteric-Coated-Tablets-56-_872425/

If your getting a prescription for your doctor ask them to specify that the prescription says not disolvable.

I took tablet version aspirin throughout my pregnancy because I had previous miscarriages and investigation found a clotting issue.

Oh yeah forgot to include about me. I at first was swallowing the disolvable tablet whole in my rainbow pregnancy but found a normal tablet to take. Future pregnancies I will be taking 150mg a day.

I was prescribed dissolving ones but asked to change them as I can't take them yuk - ever since I have a repeat prescription for gastro- resistant ones xx

I am. 75mg daily.

Just put it in a tiny bit of water and down it. Can't really taste it to be honest.

I take the coated tablets twice a day (plus Lovenox shots). You don't have to dissolve them.

I am on low dose 81 mg for clotting issues (I have suffered two strokes, one at the age of 25 and the other at 29. I am 37 now. Plus I have heart issues too. Better be safe than sorry.

thanks ladies midwife confirmed my dose can be swallowed :)

Yes i had to take baby aspirin the first 20 weeks of pregnancy due to the fact we couldnt find out why i was having multiple miscarriages.!
