anyone taking aspirin during pregnancy?

I am also on 75g dissolvable tablets, one a day.

Mine is due to severe pre-eclampsia in last pregnancy.

I put mine in a small amount of water and down it x

Was just about to ask if anyone is taking asprin due to previous pre-eclampsia but I see mummummum you are Hun. Both my boys were early due to pre-e Matthew now almost 4 and had severe pre-e with Daniel 13 months who was 10 weeks early really not looking forward to 20+ weeks this time around not been able to enjoy any of this pregnancy actually, have consultant tomo hoping for some positivity

I took aspirin in my fourth pregnancy due to stillbirth in my third, but I had also had pre-eclampsia from around 26 weeks with pregnancy one, two and three. I stil got it with pregnancy four but it started around 31-32 weeks and was milder.

Hope that helps x :flower:

A condition usually in late pregnancy associated with high BP, protein in urine, swelling and liver/kidney probs they say the only cure is removing the placenta ie birth life threatening if not picked up on, main thing Midwifes check RU BP and dip your urine etc xx

Mine was also severe. It wasn't picked up until 36 weeks and I was admitted to hospital and had to stay until they induced me. My DD was born at exactly 37 weeks. She was on the 10th percentile for her gestation and they have now told me that is likely because of the pre-e.

My bump measured fine, my MW actually said baby would be big. Once I was in hospital though they did a growth scan and said most of it was fluid and baby was small. I think that is one of the reasons they are giving me two extra growth scans this time. The fluid was so bad that when they tried to take my blood they sometimes just got the fluid instead of blood. Not a fun time or the experience I pictured.

I am nervous about getting it again. I have my consultant appointment on 29/1 but he has written to me and he thinks I have a 16% chance of getting it again.

Fingers crossed for us all with the pre-e :hugs:
