anyone TTC first baby in your late 30's?

I am 38, will be turning 39 in January. My BF and I are trying to have our first baby. we got pregnant in may but was diagnosed with a blighted ovum so I had a D&C done in June.

We got the OK to try again and we are curently ovulating right now. I'm so stressed though. I know that a blighted ovum can happen to anyone and I'm trying to stay positive but with my age its so scary.

is anyone around my age also TTC? I just dont want to be alone through this.

hey hunni ur not alone there's lots of us in out 30's and 40's TTC! have a look in the 35 TTC section.

I'm 38 and will be 39 next yr dh is 31 and were going for our first good luck xx

I am 36 and hoping to conceive in the near future. It won't be my first though as I had a little boy when I was just 21 years old (although he was not planned..he just kind of errm happened lol..I forgot the birth control!). However now I feel that it might be time to have a second and maybe a third...

I will have to see what happens. As long as the 2nd is not as large as the first cause my son was a mini elephant at over 9lbs lol. Yet when I had my coil fitted many years ago (no longer have that, as I went on cerazette afterwards and have just come off it) I had a smaller than average womb. They had to order one in as they didn't have one small enough at the family planning place!

I am 36, DH is 35 (36 in Jan.). We are on our 7th cycle TTC #1. I am so stressed too (and depressed). Doesn't really help that every time I turn on the internet or talk to a family member or friend, someone is always announcing their pregnancy. And they are all younger.

I just started using the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor this cycle but didn't get any peaks and will be due for AF in 8 days (my cycle has been averaging 27 days). I am expecting to see AF in 8 days.

There are a lot of ladies in the TTC over 35 group (like myself)....some of us lurk on other boards though.

I am TTC now, I am 36 will be 37 in Dec, but had DD at 32, I got pregnant on the pill with her, so anything is possible. LOL
I tought I was done, then got pregnant in late Jan/early Feb and it was an ectopic with twins. I guess after that (we were not TTC. I decided I was not done. I got preggo again in May, but it ended in MC at 5W3. A friend of mine just got a huge surprise preggo at 41 (she was not TTC) and she was DONE. Guess the powers at be had other plans for her.

I am 40, 41 in January and ttc'ing for the first time after a mc on the 5th Aug. I am still hopeful we can have a healthy, happy baby at some point next year, any months apart from January, February & September will be the best though!!!

Thank you so much everyone. I will be checking out the 35+ forum. I'm sorry for anyone that has had a loss, I know how hard it is. When mine happened I didn't knwo what to think and didn't want to speak to anyone. It was bad enough that a good friend of mine and I got pregnant the same week and now she knows she is having a boy and is having a healthy pregnancy and here I am back to trying. I'm trying to stay positive but its hard.

I wish nothing but babies for all of us for 2012!!!
