I am from the states and am trying walmart's generic brand of Parents' Choice. I used the "advanced" kind which is similar to similac which is what my dr recommended. We have so many different samples of similac, similac sensative, enfamil... baby seems to still get fussy. Actually worse with similac sensative. (It seems to foam quite a bit when mixing.. don't know if that's part of what's making it worse).
Anyway, I'm trying the generic brand's sensative one for fussiness and gas. Anyone had any experience with any of these? They say this one is the equivalent of enfamil gentlease.

I did use it, but then I read the ingredients. The very first ingredient is corn-syrup.... I don't even know why that belongs in baby formula at ALL, let alone having it be the first ingredient! It's a cheap filler. Sam's Club is also owned by the same company and their brand of formula has the same crap. I had BOTH in my cupboard when I discovered it.

Others like Costco's brand, (Kirkland) Enfamil, or Similac have higher-quality ingredients.

We just switched from similac sensitive to alimentum, and her fussiness is 100% better.

I heard targets brand up & up was good, and compared to enfamil (sp?) and was a really good price.

Unfortunately corn syrup is the first ingredient in the "sensitive" or "gentle" formulations.

To avoid making more air bubbles, don't shake the bottles to mix. Use a fork instead or a butter knife to mix it without shaking.

yeah, it is even the 1st ingredient in nutramigen, which is the Cadillac of formulas. I'll go ahead and answer my own question in case anyone was wondering...
I love the stuff. Day 2 and LO is a happy guy with no gas fussiness and easy bowel movements! Sticking to this stuff unless something changes! =) :happydance:

We are going to try it to. Our Ped says that all of the formulas have to pass the same tests, so whatever we choose is fine as long as LO's stomach will tolerate.

My pocketbook wants to try the Parent's Choice too. My LO needs to be on Soy. When I was reading reviews on the Up & Up (Target) version, there were a couple that said it caused bloody spit up in their LO!! I didn't see any reviews like that for the Parent's Choice but as far as I know, store brands are often made by the same manufacturer but different labels.

I am not sure if I should go store brand or not.

We thought about switching out LO from similac advanced in the beginning because she too was super gassy and fussy. But its soo hard to decide which one because you have no idea if it will get better or not. Luckily was us after a month or so all taht passed. So i hope this will be the case for you as well. Also babies digestive systems are still getting used to being on the outside so maybe thats all it is? Good luck with whatever you choose to do! :)

DS1 was on the target brand soy from 6 weeks until a year old- it was great! Never made him ill :)
