I need to lose weight.
I know this, I've known this for a while but being disabled doesn't help.
I'm kind of retraining myself to walk using my wheelchair to help keep me balanced (I tend to stumble and fall a lot) and also to take some of the pressure off of my joints (and to use to sit when the pain gets to the point where I can't go any further); which is a long and painful process.
My OH is a huge help with this side of things but both of us kinda really suck at making good food choices.
We don't eat a lot of unhealthy junk food, sweets, crisps, etc...(if we have any kind of take-away it's a treat and not very often as they usually leave me feeling a bit bloated and sick) and I do eat a good amount of fresh fruit and vegetables; I drink a lot of water and I have low-fat dairy, lean meats (usually chicken, sometimes pork and very occasionally red meat) and sometimes fish (although I'm not a huge fish eater).
We don't eat processed foods (what I call "freezer food" if that makes sense?) as I'm not a huge fan of them for no reason other than they don't really have much taste.
My main problem is snacking.
I have a sweet tooth. A really really BIG sweet tooth.
I've made a list of good food swaps and stuck it to the fridge but what I really do need is someone to give me the occasional kick up the backside and say "PUT DOWN THE CHOCOLATE BAR AND BACK AWAY FROM THE FRIDGE" because in all honesty my OH is such a soft touch with me that if I ask him for chocolate he will cave completely.
I just really want to get rid of some of my belly before I'm actually pregnant because I know in the long run it will be beneficial to me, as well as our future baby.
So...anyone wanna be the person that gives me an ass-kicking if I look at chocolate or other naughty snacks?
