Hi,

I just wondered how common secondary infertility is, I know there is a board on this but its not used very much.

I have a little boy who just turned 4 and we concieved him quite by surprise when we must have been a little too relaxed with the condoms - no accidents or splitting involved! We started ttc No 2 when he was a year old, and nothing for 9 months, we had a break and got married and have been ttc again for ages, this is our 19th cycle in all. We have fs apt on 27th for all our test results and possibly get clomid, I have no idea what is wrong or how we concieved our son in the first place!

Any of you ladies in similar position?
xx

hi, we were ntnp when we conceived our son (although we were for nearly 3 years!) and this time it has been a year and I have been diagnosed with pcos now. Have you had a diagnosis yet? because FS generally don't prescribe clomid immediately. I had all the tests, got diagnosed with pcos then got sent away for 5 months, THEN they gave me clomid!

Best of luck.

Hi ladies. I shouldn't really be in this forum. Hope you dont mind but i came across this thread and really had to answer.

I had DS 4 years ago in August. We weren't trying but had a lovely little suprise with him.

We started trying for another when he was 6 months old and nothing was happening for us. Just as we had given up hope of having another, and to be honest, given up trying we had a lovely surprise 2 months ago and i am now just over 10 weeks pregnant.

I have no explanation of why it took this long, we never got anything checked out at the doctors, but what im really trying to say is that amazing miracle does happen , when you least expect it.

I dont know if its because we were putting so much pressure on ourselves or what, but literally within a month of stopping trying it worked out for us.

Good luck ladies and i hope to see many more of you over with us in the 1st tri forum soon :hugs:

xx

Thanks for posting, need a big boost of PMA at the moment, its hard you start to think it will never happen! I also wondered if it was fate making sure I finished my nurse training before having another, I qualify next April so I hope I don't have another year to wait!

Congrats on the pg hun, hope its happy and healthy xx

Dragonmummy I've seen the fertiltiy nurse who organised HSGm and SA for hubby and the chlamydia tests, she said that if HSG was clear and hubby swimmers ok we would be prescribed clomid when we see consultant on 27th of this month, this was last November so we been waiting nearly 6 months as it is! I heard that they may do internal scan at the apt but no diagnosis or anything as yet. I have regular periods and do ovulate, but I do ovulate late and have a short luteal phase of usually 9 days, been taking soy last month and it did lengthen it to 11 days so I live in hope xx

It's pretty standard to see you then send you away for months. Its a pain in the arse but I think they are weeding out the fakers - they are out there!! I had all my scan/HSG done then was told to come back in 5 months and was given clomid straight away. We got a :bfp: on our first cycle using it, but sadly I lost it shortly afterwards. Cycle #2 here I come!!!

ive got a 15yr old son been ttc ever since we got bfp in july but ended in mc im now having my first round of ivf

Hi there, my son is 8, and me and OH have been ttc #2 for about 18 months, this is our 6th cycle charting. I have quite a short LP too, which may no be helping any bubs o burrow in and get cosy!

As DS is not my partners biologcal son, he is very worried that he has problems, which I think is having a bit of an impact on the TTC in itself. We havent seen anyone but have decided that if we still have nothing in august (which will be the 2 year mark) we will see the doc to take it to the next level

However I am 13dpo (allegedly)just now and am living in hope that this is the one.

Wishing everyone luck, babydust for all xx

annmc and dragon sorry you ladies have suffered thru mc, how upsetting! The next one should be really sticky!!! Good luck with the IVF annmc!!

kirstenc 13dpo, sounds good to me! when are you testing? hope its a really big fat BFP! It sure is a good improvement on a short LP! xx
