Anyones baby engaged and bump NOT dropped?

hi ladies

has anyones baby started to engage but their bump has NOT dropped?

My bump looks the same but the pressure in there feels all different.... so just wondering

my bump didnt really drop and i still felt like a culdnt breathe AND i dnt even feel any pressure lol
midwife was laffing at me when she said oo must be uncomfortable down there walking etc...heads right right down and im like nope dont feel anything!!!

Thanks hun, my pelvis pain has gone and it feeeeeels different - but bump still looks high etc.

I hold out hope then!

I'm the same, people keep saying ooo it will be ages because you haven't dropped yet!

I asked the midwife and she said if you had good tummy muscles pre pregnancy, then you don't always drop as much because they are still supporting you.

My baby is engaged but people still want her to drop and it probably won't happen.

i just read as well that a short torso or being short can mean baby engages AND still keeps bump high... and im 5'3'' so quite a possibility!

mine are DEFO not good tummy muscles lol! I dance but never worked out my tummy in particular so i think im just short.

Personally I don't think I've dropped, but I know bubs has started to engage from last midwife appointment. Im bloody living on my birthing ball!!!

My baby's head is way low too but people keep telling me too that he is not ready yet because my bump has not dropped yet.

I like the explanation for the strong ab muscle. I am a fitness instructor and workout throughout the pregnancy although I can do much of ab works but maybe I still have some strength left !

My daughter is locked and loaded and I don't think my bump has dropped. All I ever hear during a cervical check is wow she is really low..lol Oh I was told that a lot of babies will engage but the bump won't drop until labor is under way. I am going to go with the good muscles though.

Im glad you posted this. I personally think my bump dropped a little since i used to able to see my bellybutton and now i cant; nurse at the dr said i didnt drop but the dr felt the babys head when she did an internal. She also said i had a lot of baby in there which is why maybe i dont look like ive dropped?? I just pumped up my ball and will be bouncing daily

My gynae said that the baby is partially engaged, but I have seen no change in my bump.

Yep, found out today that my little one is engaged, and my bump hasn't changed at all!
