Hi Ladies
As the title says has anyone else had to stop trying due to fertility investigations?
Me and DH have been ttc #1 for 27 months now. We have had 3 miscarriages in this time. The last being in January with no hint of a BFP in sight.
On a positive note we are being seen by a recurrent MC specialist in London as we don't want to ttc for nearly a year again just to have another loss. I am very paranoid that my local hospital missed something. Plus they don't do all the tests that St Mary's do
I am not allowed to be under St Mary's when pregnant so we have had to stop ttc. The break is much needed as me and DH are fed up and it is putting a lot of stress on our relationship.
I think the break will be two months long minimum. Ttc has been my life for over 2 years and stopping does feel strange. Like I feel like we could be missing a chance but we need to have these tests done.
Anyone been in a similar situation?

Hi Trying4first1, DH and I are currently WTT for #1 hopefully we'll be moving on to TTC soon. Ive never experienced anything like this but just wanted to send some words of encouragement and lots of baby dust to you (wiggling my fingers). I could only imagine what you and your OH have had to go thru in these past 27 months, but just know that everything happens for a reason and I just know that you'll get your beautiful baby soon. Best of luck to you guys!

Also Im supposed to be going to get some test done myself (one of them being getting a 2nd opinion on my PCOS diagnosis). Any advice on where to start, Ive never had any test ran on me before other than the one for PCOS??

You might find a number of ladies who know what you're going through over in the LTTTC forums. I'm sure many of them have had to take a temporary stop during their journeys.

Best of luck.

Your story sounds very similar to mine. We had two beautiful children within 12 months of each other. Then, when we decided to try for our third, something happened to my fertility. We had three miscarriages back-to-back. After the third loss, we were transferred to a fertility specialist (called a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor here) who did a bunch of tests and bloodwork to look more into it. In the end, we had speculations but no for sure answers, as everything came back normal. The first m/c they brushed off as being something that just sometimes happens. The second m/c they suspected may have been because of a uterine infection that I didn't know I had after the D&C surgery that I went through with my first m/c. Once that was cleared up with antibiotics, we tried once more. The third loss they put down as simply becoming pregnant too quickly after two surgeries (since I had a D&C with my second loss as well) without giving my body time to heal. After my third m/c I didn't ovulate for about 6 months. Once I began ovulating, we got pregnant right away and, thankfully, that baby turned out to be our rainbow after multiple losses. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully they'll figure out why you keep having multiple miscarriages and that you get your rainbow soon!

Thank you ladies.
Needabun- good luck with your investigations. I don't know much about PCOS but I have friends who have it and they have been given so much support.

Lilmisscaviar- I am sure that our paths have crossed before.
Congratulations on your rainbow.
Like your we are unexplained and were given no real answers. Last baby had no abnormalities so can't work out why we lost them. Even now I feel angry as they should be here with us.
literlally after I wrote this post I found out I was expecting again. So shocked as has no symptoms! I am now 5 weeks and not much is going on which worries me but it is very early days still.
I have an early scan booked for when I am 7 weeks. Nervous as hell. Really not looking forward to it.
It's hard to stay positive after RPL so am trying to keep myself busy.
