I was just thinking during all the adverts on telly and my own incredible peckishness; what do you miss eating and/ or drinking, and any suggestions for substitutes, if there are any?

There are so many things to suddenly stay away from and I seem to constantly get asked from my lovely OH ' can you eat that?' lol!!!
I really suffer from this pregnancy food and drink ban :ban:and almost dived into a casserole the other day as it had some red wine poured into it... (by the way, alcohol boils off so no danger) :wine:Gawd, that smelled SOOOo nice. I am however, not doing a Katona and so I shall not be partaking until this bundle is safely delivered :)

My only suggestion, something i discovered, and its for you if you miss a bit of alcohol now and then... :) I have unfortunately found alcohol free wines to taste diabolical so the only thing that taste like the real thing is Becks alcohol free beer. Trust me it tastes nice!

Ps (I could seriously murder a soft boiled egg right now,..and some goats cheese, and pate and..........:munch:..... steak tartare?

rare steak, runny eggs, peanut butter and drinking in general when I go out with my friends
x

I so agree... Im already planning to groom this little dumpling to be a proper foodie, ha,ha! No fussy eaters here.. God, im hungry!

I've just been out and had a 5 course chinese meal and I'm still starving! The worst part is, I'm craving the food I can't have! What I wouldn't give for runny eggs and soldiers right now!

Oh, yes! I hear you.... i just to love runny eggs and soldiers at the weekend
:sad1:

Ooh runny eggs and soldiers to dip in..... And runny fried eggs with toast or chips.

sushi, rare steak and diet coke!

bexy_22 who on earth told you no peanut butter? thats not true dear you can eat it!

I'm a singer, and I always need a glass or two of wine before I start working. Now I can't do that...... it's horrible. I'm wondering if one white wine spritzer a week will really do any harm...??

codiontour, some people can't have peanuts during pregnancy, and I am one of them.. Mainly its people who are asthmatic/have eczema because those people are prone to having children with severe peanut allergies.

OMG i am hearing you girls.

I lovvvvveeee my bacon and fried runny egg sandwiches or soft boid egg with soliders. And medium rare steaks and blue cheese :hissy:

Don't actually miss alcohol at all and thats funny cus i love my rose wine.

Im not missing the booze sooooo much (although i could down a bottle of wine) it's going out and seeing all my pub friends that I'm missing as I can't really show my face until i can come clean about my condition lol

Oh I am dying for runny eggs, medium rare steaks, sushi and red wine!:wine::munch:Yip but it is soooooo worth it in the end! That steak and red wine will have never tasted so good!:cloud9:

Now you all have me wanting steak and lobster :)

I agree, it is so worth it and i think the things we miss will taste better then ever once LO has arrived.

I miss the runny yolk in my fried eggs very much. I was a designated driver last Saturday and I really wanted a Malibu and Coke (oh how I miss my alcohol getaway on the weekends). I miss being able to just take any kind of pain relievers too. One Tylenol sometimes just doesn't cut it.

By the way, forgive me for asking a stupid question, but what are soldiers??

Soldiers are bread cut into strips that are small enough to dip in your soft boiled egg.

I totally vouch for the runny egg with your full breakfast on a saturday morning- ahhhhh

I miss having lots and lots of sushi- Deep fried king prawns

A sumptious medium cooked fillet of beef.

No seafood for me or peanuts:( both allergies run in the family.

I think on the 8th month of pregnancy, i will stock up and get ready to devour the lot!:laugh2:
