Anywhere to find out exactly how much milk LO should be having?

I have looked online and all the sites say different things and everyone has a different opinion on forums. I am worried my LO isn't having enough milk - she is on solids now 3 times a day and it's such a struggle to get her to drink her bottles - I do offer them before the solids still.

I currently offer her 4 x 200 ml (6 or 7 oz) bottles - she has never finished them and I would estimate she is having no more than 700 ml or 18-20 oz per day plus water in a sippy cup occasionally. She is especially fussy with bottle #3. Is she too young to drop this one??

ETA - she is in the 97th percentile for both height and weight and definitely isn't starving!

That sounds fine to me. I remember when Roo was about your LO's age and started dropping bottles, she would have between 15 and 20ozs in a day and was doing fine. The afternoon bottle was first to go for her too. Then #2, then #1, then bedtime last of all.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Sounds about right to me too, Holly rapidly dropped bottles when weaning and I just stopped them once she was only taking an oz or two. I think at your LO age she was on 3 bottles a day, 6oz each x

my boy has been on 3 bottles for a bit now, he just wouldnt have the 4 and he got in such a state when i tried to give him it, now i do 3 x 7 oz bottles but he rarely drinks every one every day, so id say hes probably just about getting 20oz but sometimes less. he has squash and is on breakfast and dinner, not sure when i should introduce lunch???

Our HV said that by about 8 months they should be on three meals a day. I've tried to do three small meals since beginning weaning and I can see them gradually growing in size as LO does!

thanks i have started to introduce a small lunch as for a bit now he has been refusing his 2pm bottle and wont have any of it, so i have stopped it

When i took my LO to the GP as he was projectile vomiting everywhere they tried to accuse me of over feeding him (turned out it was pyloric stenosis, that didn't occur to him at the time lol!) and i was following the directions on the tin (120ml every 4 hours) and he said they go by the weight, and it's 150ml per kilo per day (e.g. if your LO was 4kg, it'd be 600ml per day - then you'd obv divide that between his feeds)
hope this helps :) x
