Applique

Does anybody do this at all? I need a hobby and I love applique-style tops/t-shirts for the kids, like Boden do a lot of. Trouble is I have zero sewing experience but I'd love to give it a go. Is it one of those things that a lot harder than it actually appears?

No its not hard at all! Ive done it a few times and you dont really even have to sew.

You can buy a sheet of something called heat and bond. If you look on ebay search applique bond. The look on google images for the picture you want. Search for templates so say elephant template and print of. Cut out and trace on to a piece of fabric, follow the instructions on the heat and bond and iron it onto you t-shirt! You can sew around the edge but the bonding stuff should keep the picture in place and wash ok
