April Mummies 2011

I'm bored tonight - DH is watching footy - so I've been nosing round B&B. And the April 2012 mummies-to-be thread is up & running. That was us this time last year. Now look at us! It's so strange thinking how I felt this time last year. All the nerves about hoping it stuck & the excitement of telling people. Awww, it's making me want to be preggo again!!!!

Thanks Jen :) x

Sazzle good luck for the weigh in tomorrow, is it an easy diet to follow. I think it looks quite easy and once I know I've used all my points I just won't eat for the rest of the day. Scared though as don't think I will be very good at dieting. I did lose 2lbs on holiday which must have been from swimming and walking lots.

Gertrude well done on losing 7lbs.

gosh well done on the weightloss girls, every night i vow to be good the next day and each day it falls apart :(, just don't find it easy being tired and being good with what i eat!

Anyways, hope this works but this is my cutie pie yesterday sitting up playing :)

Aw look at him! So big sitting up and playing.

I'm so exhausted today! Isis had a really rough night! She was crying randomly from 3:30-5:30 this morning and I couldn't console her. Then she would just fall back asleep. I hope she's good on the plane!

So today is supposed to be my first day of vacation but I'm at work right now. I'm waiting to interview a candidate for a job. They couldn't find anyone else to be on the interview panel so they moved up my time slot so I could make it. We have to leave for the airport in 2 hours.

Caro, Alex is adorable :)

Im slightly tipsy. Feels good. Celebrating finishing my tablets... again! Well, not really considering Im on one for life but yeah haha.
Plus checking it doesnt hurt to drink now. Which it does a bit. So I wont be drinking on Saturday at Grandads 80th Meal :/

Anyone from Merseyside going to Matthew Street Festival this weekend?

Adorable pics everyone!!!

Lizzie can sit up for a bit but tends to lean forward to grab her toes (she's obsessed, not quite sure she realizes they're attached to her).

She's definitely taking more interest in what we eat and drink, mostly trying to grab coke cans and watching us put things in our mouths. I think in the next few weeks we're going to give her avocados. Apparently the nutrients are very similar to breast milk, it's considered slightly sweet and is a very nutrient dense food. Dr. Sears recommends it as a first food over cereals. He also recommends using your finger as the first spoon as baby is used to sucking on it and it's easier to actually get the food into her mouth.

I love the idea of baby lead weaning and it's actually quite similar to what my husband's family does with their kids. They give the kids whatever they're eating minus any excess spices and salt. We'll probably still do some purees and mashed fruit because it's convenient and sometimes our food may not be appropriate for baby, but I really like the idea of giving them real people food.

My headaches are still there and the dizziness and it's getting really frustrated. I went to the dr on Monday and she told me to take Motrin for a week and also magnesium and riboflavin (B2) supplements. She's basically treating me for migraines even though I think there is something more to it. Can't say I'm noticing anything except that my breast milk is now yellow from the B vitamin! She also ordered a full blood test for things like iron, thyroid, etc. Haven't had a chance to get to the lab yet as little one with being super fussy on my day off Weds. Hopefully I can go tomorrow since I need to fast for 12 hours (cholesterol test also). Just really want to get to the bottom of this and start to feel better.

I took Ava for her 4 month and Emma for her 4 year check-up (a little late but its all they had lol) and Ava is 14lbs 11oz and 25" long!!! She is getting SO big!! Emma is 38lbs and 43"!! Extremely tall!

right ladies, whoever has my lovely little girl and swapped her for this shouty, crying, grumpy thing that is just vile, CAN I HAVE MY GIRL BACK?

This is bloody hard :( She cries so much (never used to unless she was hungry), she refuses to nap so gets so over tired and is just not her normal self :( anyone else struggling with the week 19 mental leap? :(

thank god I'm not alone! this is tough :( I hope it doesn't go on too long as I feel like I'm at my wits end by about 2pm each day and of course she picks up on that :(

Urgh

wonder week 19 ended for us 2 weeks ago, then a sunny week, now shes starting wonder week 26 already...AWESOME! :haha:

I know the feeling Lilly. I swear we did 4 month sleep regression and less than a week break then WW19 and now we're al over the place. She's at work with me right now and I'm waiting for her to take a nap!!

Well- I went in for my mental health evaluation (as per DH's request :dohh: ) and it's official. I have no mental health issues along the lines of depression. His psychiatrist diagnosed him with bipolar and borderline personality disorder. He went and applied for 3 jobs this morning. One is an old job he had and they said they would call him within a month with a job ebcause at least 2 people are leaving for school/military.

WW19 is kicking my butt!! Luckily she slept on the plane but she's still a little crankier than normal and waking every 2 hours all night long.

We went to the state fair today. It was a great time! We're going to the coast tomorrow! I can't wait to put Isis on the sand! I also can't wait to dip her toes in the Pacific Ocean!

OOO SO FUN! I haven't put rosie in the ocean yet (too cold lol) but she loves the river and the sand.

Whats WW19? :S

I wont be on over the weekend probably. Its my time to feel young again :P
My mum is having the baby for most of it I think.
I have grandads 80th Meal tomorrow and party afterwards.
And then Sunday Ill be resting.
Then Monday Im going to town with my mates :)
Yaaaaay for finally having a social life again haha.

Back off holiday and don't wantto be home! Both kids were angels and coincidence or what, but Amelia slept 12 hours at night allweek!! She some up once but I gave her her dummy and she went right offagain. My god i needed that! Just my son who's being more of a terror for example, screaming in restaurants, demanding cake at every opportunity! Gah, I hate 2 year olds LOL!!!!

Gem, wonder week 19.

MissFox, Isis will hate it too. I tried to have her swim in a lake near us that was 85 degrees and she cried so I imagine that this isn't going to go well but I want the picture :haha:

Jakes, hopefully Jake grows out of it soon! Lucky you with Amelia sleeping through! Isis is still waking every 2 hours even on vacation  I could really use a full night's sleep.

Isis survived family gauntlet #1. My Mom's side was over last night for dinner to meet the baby and she was a gem! DH got tons of pictures. I was so happy because we got a 4 generation picture with my Mom and Grandma.

Today is the beach and tonight is family gauntlet #2. My Dad's side is coming over plus many family friends for a clay pigeon shoot. Should be a busy time!

Oh my effing god. I thought Toby was teething before but... Ugh. He spent half an hour screaming like I broke his leg or something. I tried EVERYTHING but in the end had to just get him dosed up on calpol and cuddle him til he calmed down.
Meant to be going out with SIL later but feel terrible about leaving OH alone with teething baby and the dog. It was enough earlier that I cried a bit. I haven't done that since I started on my anti depressants. Not sure what to do.
