Adorable pics everyone!!!
Lizzie can sit up for a bit but tends to lean forward to grab her toes (she's obsessed, not quite sure she realizes they're attached to her).
She's definitely taking more interest in what we eat and drink, mostly trying to grab coke cans and watching us put things in our mouths. I think in the next few weeks we're going to give her avocados. Apparently the nutrients are very similar to breast milk, it's considered slightly sweet and is a very nutrient dense food. Dr. Sears recommends it as a first food over cereals. He also recommends using your finger as the first spoon as baby is used to sucking on it and it's easier to actually get the food into her mouth.
I love the idea of baby lead weaning and it's actually quite similar to what my husband's family does with their kids. They give the kids whatever they're eating minus any excess spices and salt. We'll probably still do some purees and mashed fruit because it's convenient and sometimes our food may not be appropriate for baby, but I really like the idea of giving them real people food.
My headaches are still there and the dizziness and it's getting really frustrated. I went to the dr on Monday and she told me to take Motrin for a week and also magnesium and riboflavin (B2) supplements. She's basically treating me for migraines even though I think there is something more to it. Can't say I'm noticing anything except that my breast milk is now yellow from the B vitamin! She also ordered a full blood test for things like iron, thyroid, etc. Haven't had a chance to get to the lab yet as little one with being super fussy on my day off Weds. Hopefully I can go tomorrow since I need to fast for 12 hours (cholesterol test also). Just really want to get to the bottom of this and start to feel better.
