Don't mind at all Dana! You need somewhere to vent the frustrations school can bring!

Caro your bump is so cute!!! ;)

As far as the weight loss goes, I have been there! I worked REALLY hard and lost like 45lbs! (This was about 3 years ago) But i have managed to keep most of it off. I am a HUGE stress eater and I go for anything sweet (not good) But when my mom got cancer last year Im sure I gained a good 10-15lbs, but that's how i dealt with it. Losing weight was the furthest thing from my mind! Now that things are getting better i really need to start working on it again, but its hard to commit! :haha: I LOVE food and trying new recipes, so this is gonna be hard lol :dohh:

UK girls: question. Does the UK recognize dual citizenship with someone born in the US? As in can a Us citizen apply for dual citizenship to the UK?

Just curious.

err i think so casey, do you mean if one parent is from uk and one usa, can the baby get dual citizenship?

No. I mean if someone wanted to move to the UK but retain US citizenship could they have both?

Thanka guys. And thankz Caro. Sorry for all they typos i got my phone back from repair and need to get used to it again.
I know how you all feel and understand on the weight loss subject. About 5 years ago i had lost nearly 40 lbs making me the thi nest i had ever been (since middle school) and have gained it all back and way more. I was trying again to lose it before i got prego but now im hoping just not to gain much. Dr wants me to keep it to 15-20it lbs so vbac is more likely achievable. But after this baby i am determined to lose it and keep it off. And it will be much easier if we havs a place in town.

Well the one house has an offer and i dont have preapproval until monday. However not terrible since i hear banks usually take bids through escrow even! Im hoping to go in and offer a decent amount more than lisging. But if not there is another house that has been on the market for 2+ yearsand im hoping to talm them down 40k. And then there is another that i would only need to bring down 20k40k which is more realistic. But idk yet. Ugh!!

Good luck!!

When you say 40k... Is that for a deposit? Or the actual value of the house? If its the latter im moving!!!

1 of the houses listed for 60,000 and the other ones are listed for about 100,000+ so on 1 of them that is more I was trying to get 40000 off

Hi ladies sorry Ive been neglecting recently! I do still read but half the time, end up running as I don't seem to stop!sorry if I miss anyone out.

Gem- fingers crossed the doctors are being safe and testing as per procedure. Thinking of you x

Gertrude- it's so damn hard, isn't it. I've also been trying to lose but also had the heartache of losing my dad, so emotionally I couldn't cope and will then to chocolate or anything sweet. So if I have a shit day, I write it off and begin the next as I meant I go on.

Sam - I would LOVE to buy a house. We ar stuck renting until we can afford the ridiculous amount needed for a deposit here!

Caro- cute bump! You look slimmer than me and I'm not pregnant lol!!!

I found a lovely playgroup to take Amelia too. We go to lots of different things but this one I went to 27 years ago lol!! Can you believe the SAME woman is running it?! She's so doddery but makes the BEST tea and coffee ;)

Erm..anything else..Jakes birthday coming up! We are getting him a brand new bike, Leap pad 2, tons of books, crayola stuff and DVDs. He's requested I make him a dinosaur cake (god help me!) AND a spongebob square pants cake too!

caro- we have homes here valued in 40k total that are very nice (3 bed 2 bath central air etc). nick and i don't plan to spend much more then that when we go find a house.

Oh man. The uk housing prices make me sad. I'll need 40k in deposit here for a 4 bed with garden for the dog and off road parking for the motorbike.

My aunt got really excited because she found me a new housing development that was advertising "only 5% deposit required!" so I worked it out and 5% on the lowest priced house was £19,000. Sigh.

I wish ours was 40k we just paid 170 for a 3 bedroom terraced house

yep deffo sounds like we're done here in the uk!! we should be exchanging tomorrow or early next week and for deffo moving on the 15th!! our bank balance looks lovely and healthy atm all to be transfered to the solicitors :dohh:

Oh I know that feeling caro good luck with the move very exciting :)

Fingers crossed for the house, Sam. I can't believe how cheap houses are out there!

Lovely bump pics, Caroline! V jealous of how skinny you are!!! Glad to hear that you'll be in your new house soon.

Casey, a uni friend of mine had a British & US passport. Her parents are both Scottish but she was born in the US. She must have dual citizenship?

Gem, how you doing?

Gertrude, I totally get where you're coming from with losing weight. I was at my skinniest before I got pregnant with Rex due to losing weight for our wedding. I managed to put on 3 & half stone  during those 9 months. Oops! That's 3 & half stone of pure lard as well as that was after I'd had him & all the swelling had gone etc. It's my own fault. I'm a greedy cow! Anyhow, I found the first few months of being a mum really tough so couldn't even think about losing weight until the August after having him. From then til January, I managed to lose 2st 5lb. But them I went back to work & I was finding things tough all over again. Last year I put back on 1st of what I'd lost  See, greedy cow!!! :haha: Last September I decided to exercise but following the meningitis & botched lumbar puncture left me with pretty bad back ache, running was a no go. Since the start of Jan I've been back on it. I'm 30 this year, am bridesmaid for my sister in Cyprus (swimwear. Eeeek!) & we'll be TTC from August so I HAVE to shift this weight. My mind is in the right place again. I've been following a low carb 'lifestyle' (not saying diet cos I'd liked it to be long term :haha:) to mainly lose weight but also to help with my energy levels & sweet cravings (which are baaaaaad!). This week I've started a workout DVD & am aiming to do that 3 times a week. Hoping that will help to strengthen my back so I can run again come spring. I really believe you can't do without your head really being in it so don't beat yourself up about it all :hugs:

We've had a few days & nights of very little sleep. Rex's third canine has come through so that was the culprit. Reeeeaaaalllly hope we get a little respite before the last canine appears. I could really do with some sleep!

So, our house was a little more expensive, around 270,000 but its 2700 square feet and has 6 acres and a pond. There are definitely less expensive houses around but they would need work or don't have as nice property etc.

When I moved to Iowa 4 years ago I was at the second lowest I had been since school! With Isis I was 10 pounds heavier than I had ever been. I managed to lose 20 lbs after having her but I have 20-25 lbs left to go. I've lost 3 pounds in the past few weeks. We've started running again, 3-5 days a week and I've been tracking pretty well with the ww app on my phone. If I can keep this up the next couple weeks with dh traveling that'll be a big win! I'm a stress, boredom eater. Screw that, I just like to eat!

Caro, that's such a cute bump!!

I hope you guys can get one of those houses Sam!

Casey, I was reading about dual citizenship because I was wanting to get Canadian citizenship (just found out I can't). Most countries will let you retain the citizenship when you become a citizen of that country. The US requires in most cases that you relinquish your previous citizenship in order to become a US citizen.

Sazzle, I hope you get some relief from the teething! Isis is working on canines too!

i'm not saying there isn't more expensive homes out there, but you can get a nice home here for rather cheap. depends on the city and the state tho.

anyone feel like a good cry, click this. i couldn't even make it past the first minute
