April Mummies 2011

Amethyst and Naima :hugs: It sucks to have such terrible people in your lives! I think you both are handling the situations wonderfully!

:hugs: Amethyst & Lily.

Mrs-C & Cheese - you are not making me feel optimistic about our little holiday to Wales next week! What if Rex won't sleep?! And even worse, what if that then makes him sleep worse when we get back?! Argh! Wish we weren't going!

Had Rex weighed today. He's 15lb 4oz! Little chubbs! No wonder his 3-6 month clothes fit comfortably. He's always been between the 50th & 75th lines since starting to regain his birth weight but now he's edging more towards the 75th. Greedy little man!

Sazzle, I'm sure you'll be fine. Enjoy your holiday! Isis usually has a harder time napping when we're on vacation so I think that effects her night sleep. I don't think her current sleeping issue has anything to do with vacation. I think she's going through a growth spurt. She's been eating like crazy in the evenings and waking hungry in the night. I can't believe he's over 15 pounds! I won't have Isis weighed until next month but she's around 12 pounds right now. Boys seem to gain faster than girls though.

Well back outside to the heat and humidity for me!

:hugs: Amethyst and Lily, you are better off keeping these people out of your lives, they are not worth the stress.

I hope George will be ok when we go away, we are going to Spain for 3 weeks, his sleeping is back to being very good so hope it stays that way when we are abroad. Maybe he will sleep even better because it is so warm over there. I will be staying indoors between 11 and 3 as that is when the sun is the hottest. I've also bought a sun sheild for his pram which has SPF50 as there is no way he will be burning. I can't bear to see children getting burnt on holiday.

Thanks girls, managed to calm myself down a lot now after talking to OH but I could really do with a large glass of wine about now.

Lilly, it genuinely makes you feel like complete and utter crap doesn't it? I wouldn't put up with anything like this from anyone else, so why the hell have I been allowing them to do this for over 5 years?! I must REALLY love that silly bugger lying in our bed because I'd have run away a long time ago otherwise. I can't keep turning things back on myself and allowing them to make me feel like this, it does our little family no good at all.

Aside from all this poo, Gabe had his second set of jabs today. He has done really well with them but I'm keeping a close eye just in case. He is such a dribbly little boy at the moment, soaking through everything but when he has a bib on, he just lifts the bib up and chews on it making him drool more! :dohh:

It used to, now I could care less.
Just pisses me off that she never has a positive thing coming out of her mouth.
Everything we do with Aleena is wrong in her eyes, and she says it out loud.
VERY obnoxious especially cause when my DH was born she was too busy snorting coke.. so he grew up at his dads

If it was just having a go at me, I could probably handle it, but when they cause hurt to OH and the kids just to get to me? That's what hurt the most. From now on neither me nor the kids will have a damn thing to do with them, so the hurt should technically be done with, but the anger will take a very long time to go away.

Just don't understand why people would want to be this way? I would never do this to my children, not ever, so why are they doing it to OH?

Eek! Your MIL sounds wonderful :nope: I'm glad you manage to let it go over your head, Hun. Things like that could drive someone mental! :flower:

Do whatever is best for you and your family!
Ban toxic people out of your life!
All they do is cause negativity, which you don't need :)

Morning ladies

The sun is shining by boy is full of smiles...I think today is gonna be a good day, hope it is for eeryone else too xxxx

Hi ladies. Well I have awesome news! We came to my mums for 3 nights and we thought we could hang getting her into a sleeping bag and out of the swaddle to the change imo place to sleep. She has a new travel cot and mums smells different too. We brought the swaddle in case but we only needed it the first night. The last 2 nights she's sleptin the bag AND dropped the 4am feed!

Let's see if she carries on at home!

Yay! We have a sleeping baby here again too. The last two mornings we've had to wake her!

Excellent news, Gertrude. Let's hope it continues.

Jen, I'm following your lead. The sun is... sortof... shining, it is warm, the ladies are home, lil guy is in his fabulous pink 'Bongo' as Eliza insists on calling his Bumbo and today will be a good day. Good morning world, tis a brand new day

did i ever tell you guys that im an auntie?? my brothers wife had their baby at 37 weeks on july 8. brooklyn kaylee was born at 5 lbs 13 oz, so tiny compared to abby now!

Amethyst and Lilly - Big hugs ladies, keep your chins up! :)

Dana - Congrats on becoming an Auntie ^_^

Off to the docs soon to sort out the pill! Then my dad will let me go on a night out haha (how pathetic still being told what to do by my parents when Im only a few months off 20 xD Hate it!)

Woke up this morning to Ollie laughing his little head off at his hands haha. Cute :)

:hugs: lilly and amythest.

Congrats Dana! newborns do seem super tiny now! hehe, amazing how quick babies change.

yay to the sleeping babies! Alex managed 9.30-5.45 this morning! couldn't believe it was light when he woke me! thats never happened before :D. Then he went back down about 7-9! I was actually late to see my neighbour due to sleeping in , not had to set an alarm since alex was born :haha:

but then today i've had a rather grumpy teething boy :dohh:...can't have everything I guess

we're off on holiday tomorrow :D, so will see you all in a week! hope you all have a good one xx

Funny about the alarm, I'm the same way! DH asks me at night what time I want the alarm set for and I have to remind him that I already have an alarm :haha:
PT went well. Had an x-ray to make sure there wasn't anything serious going on. My hip isn't fractured but the physical therapist wanted the Dr. to look at the x-ray to see if anything else is going on. She gave me a couple exercises to do. Turns out all my pain that I thought was related to my tear is actually a tightness in a small muscle in my pelvic floor that helps with rotating the hip. So both problems are related. So looks like I'm on the road to recovery :happydance: I am sooooo not having another baby for a looooonnnnnnggggg time!

Caro, have fun!!!
Cheese lover, glad youre getting better!!

Aleena loves her bumbo!

My little Emma is turning 4 on Tuesday!!! I cant believe it!!! We are going out to do some fun things with her this weekend to celebrate and then next Sunday is her birthday party with friends and family! :cake:

How do you like having ~4 years between babies? That's how many years DH wants between ours. I'm on board, just curious how it's working so far.
