April Mummies 2011

Argh! Our power is out! It went out yesterday at work and at home around 4 so I picked up Isis and went home. We ended up sleeping in the basement because it got too hot upstairs. It was probably close to 100 degrees air temp + very humid. Isis slept in only a diaper which was a disaster so now I'm exhausted and my back hurts from our crappy sleep arrangements. Today is supposed to be just as hot. At least town has power so we all have access to AC except our poor dog. I made sure she has plenty of water before I came to work. Hopefully they fix it soon!

I almost forgot, Isis sat up unaided this morning! (for about 1 second:haha:)
She was sitting back on my legs and was trying to roll forward so I sat her up and let go. She sat there for a second and started to fall over. She did that a couple times and then got fussy.

Tasha, I saw some of the tagged photos. You looked gorgeous in your dress. The kids looked cute too!

I'm super pooped today! walked to my friends this morning and took Alex swimming again this afternoon. Doesn't sound like much but for some reason i'm sooo tired, lol!

Hope everyone has had a lovely day x

Just got a devistating phone call. My cousins baby was born sleeping at 39 weeks today. Her water broke and they did an emergency c section but little angel Rilyn didn't make it. My heart I sad for her

oh good god missfox :( that's awful :( my sympathies to your family

I can't even think about that tbh

I'm sorry to hear that MissFox! My heart goes out to them.

I've had a rough morning as well...My dh uncle who we were very close to lost his battle with cancer this morning. He was only diagnosed in Janurary so it was very unexpected and sad. He also leaves behind 2 young girls..needless to say we are very heartbroken at the moment :(

Miss Fox and Emmy's, I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. RIP, little one and Uncle, I hope that their parent's and children, respectively, find solace and strength in the love that surrounds them.

The 3 month growth spurt has hit. HELP! I am a milk machine and nothing more.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So sorry Emmys!

They were monitoring her because of the baby beings so small. Originally they wanted to induce at 37 weeks but they let her keep going and I think they were going to induce in 2 days. I just can't imagine having it. I just wanted to cuddle with Rosie after finding out. We were supposed to go baby shopping together this evening.

Ugh. The wake is Going to be on Monday and were leaving on Saturday. Just heard that it was a chord accident.

i keep thinking my abbygael was born at 39 weeks....i can't even comprehend the pain...:hugs:

:hugs: to you too steph

:hugs: MissFox and Steph! So sorry for both of you!

Makes me hug my family a little tighter.

My midwife has referred me to physical therapy. She thinks that my pain is related to my hip issues. (DH got a little overzealous with holding my leg during pushing). My appointment is next week. Hopefully all I need is some PT. I'm tired of being injured. I'm ready to start running again! I'm ready to feel good about myself again.

Missfox and Emmys - my heart goes out to both of you - such sad news. Rip baby girl and Emmys uncle. So tragic :(

Amethyst I hear you on the 12 week growth spurt - I feel liek a Dairy cow at the mo and Amelia WAS going 10 hours at night, but has been waking to feed ...argh!

To top it off, as she was going through the night and I wasn't pumping, I now have Mastitis......OWWWWWWWW!!!

My right breast is slightly red, sore and I have a fever..clammy and sweaty one moment then chills the next. I am on antibiotics but I think I caught it early, so hopefully won;t progress any further.

Ithought I got far enough to be past these problems. But they can creep up on you like this!

am i the worst person in the world? i just don't feel a connection at all to my step son and now that i've got abby and know what that connection feels like, i really don't feel anything for him. i feel closer to my friends kids than him...feel bad and it's not for lack of trying either, i promise. it's just not there. am i alone in this?

You're not a terrible person. Sometimes that happens. I didn't instantly feel a connection with Isis. I actually think it took a week or so to really build that love. And I gave birth to her. Maybe over time you'll feel a connection. Don't ever give up. It could happen when you least expect it.

I am so tired!! I put Isis down around 8:30 and now an hour later she's already woken up. The past 5 nights are the worst since she was a newborn. work is crazy demanding too. Hopefully this ends soon.

Feeling like a cow over here too!

Aleena went through that growth spurt around 11 weeks, it was like she was a newborn all over, very tiring!

:hugs:

:hugs: MissFox & Emmys. Awful news. Thinking of you both.

Jakes - hope the antibiotics hurry up & kick in. It took about 24 hours for mine to work when I had it.

Been to visit my mum for a couple of days. God I missed the baby swing! He would not nap unless I laid down on the sofa with him or we were out in the car. Little tinker! I swear my dad is the baby whisperer though! Rex didn't settle very well at night with being in a different place but my dad was able to get him straight off to sleep & get him to stay asleep. Wish I had that power!

2nd lot of jabs for us today. Hope he's ok with them like he was last time.

Think we've managed to miss the 12 week growth spurt in terms of feeding. He's not really changed his pattern. But then he was always greedy anyway! Still no sign of ever STTN either. I think I'd give a kidney right now for a straight 8 hours sleep! lol
