i was under the impression it had to be used within an hour..but on the tub of the formula it says 2 hours.....can we do this???

I guess if it says so! I always use within an hour at the most 1hr 30, but if it says its ok.. then i guess its up to u!

If the feed has been made up but not started then maybe 2 hours, but if LO has started the feed bin it after an hour max?:flower:

Agree with above.

I fast cool my bottles in bowls of cold water and pop them in the fridge, but if i'm taking them out of the house where they can't be kept cool i try and use them within 2 hours - if i've started a feed and my lo doesn't want the bottle i'd use the remaining within the hour or throw it away.

my health visitor told me last week thats its ok to use for up to 2 hours whether olivia has drank from it or not x

I use Aptamil and I keep it out of the fridge for up to 2 hours. But in a heatwave you should use it sooner

If it says 2 hours then I'm sure that's fine - they're not going to risk a lawsuit by putting something that would be dodgy.

I've used it up to 1hr 45 minutes and it's been fine.

Agree with all the above. If the company say 2 hours in reality it's probably safe for a bit after that too as the company will be trying to protect it's own back. I always try to use up a feed LO has started within an hour or so through just to be sure

my health visitor said if you make it up fresh you can use it foir 2 hours wether lo has drank from it or not but if you make the bottles up with water and fridge them untill needed like i do its only ok for 1 hr xx

I use Aptamil and I always try and make sure the bottle is used within an hour, even tho it says 2 hours on the tub. I have gone past the hour before and it's done her no harm, but she very rarely goes back to a bottle anyways :)

Rebecca is the opposite! She never drinks a whole bottle in one go; rather she snacks and will have half in one go, followed by the other half about 3/4 hr later. I put the bottle in a thermos bag so it doesn't get cold and as long as it's well within the 2 hour limit I've no problem giving it to her.
