Are internet cheapies that accurate?

I'm 13dpo today and AF is due (I only have a 12 day luteal phase) I spotted a very tiny amount yesterday (only when I wiped) and it was brown. I was hoping it was implantation bleeding. I got a BFN on an internet cheapie this morning. How accurate are those things?

I don't feel like I'm about to start at all. I have absolutely no PMS, and I've been really nauseous yesterday and today. My mom had hyperemesis gravidarum (extreme morning sickness for those who don't know what it is), so if I am preggo I'm not surprised that I'd already be feeling queasy.

I just really thought this was my month........ do I have any hope???

I think they vary but I am a BFP virgin so I probably am not the expert. I've read positive and negative things and I had a really nasty false positive/evap this cycle on an IC so I'm not trusting them so much. Some say they are more accurate than most, others say they take forever to turn positive. I'd be interested in others experience.

I got my bfp @ 9dpo with IC's. Tested about 20 times just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Not a single issue with evaps or faulty tests. Also used IC ovulation sticks for 2 cycles testing multiple times a day and never had an issue. I used one blue dye test and had a line but it was off center so I felt like I couldn't trust it. Pink dye IC's have done me no wrong on my last two pregnancies which is great because I would not spend as much as it would take to get the same amount of, say, FRER's.

Also I used a few dozen dollar tree pregnancy and ovulation sticks with out a single issue.

Thanks! My IC ovulation strips are awesome! I got a very clear positive 2 days in a row. My period was due today and didn't come, and I got a so I was just wanting to see other people's experiences. My spotting has picked up, so I think I'm out. I'll know for sure tomorrow.

My ovulation ICs are great too. This was my first time getting a line on a IC HPT and it was most definitely not real as all follow ups have been very much BFN. It appeared in the timeframe too so I got super excited. That was 6 days ago. Still no AF and BFN as of last night!

i used them for my last pregnancy with great success. turned positive at 12 dpo. and got the same very faint line with an expensive one. i am using them again while ttc this time around. also, false positives are very highly unlikely. a more likely scenario is a VERY early miscarriage. they can only detect hcg, which is only created during pregnancy (unless of course certain meds are taken)
