are the 99p store tests reliable?? think bfp??

Oooh what are the results lol im stalking x

Good luck. I've had mixed results. First vue from 99p store seemed to work but I wasn't preggas but next month I got some others which I can't remember the name of from a pound store which all 4 came up strong positive.....unfortunately they weren't true. And I don't believe these to be a chemical because I was testing about 6dpo....yes, I realise I am crazy!

hey,

i tested and it was neg :( so am guna do the superdrug on saturday anyway, but it's all just kind POO!!!!

damn it! :dohh:

Yes they are!!!

This was a 99p test (exactly the same as superdrug/ASDA ones)

Those tests are the same ones the nurses use at the family planning clinics. There no reason why they should not work just like any other; they're just cheaper because they don't have packaging or anything.

I use them with my last pregnancy & did only one but was more than enough.

congratulations!!!

You could always try with a brand one to make sure.

a friend of mine works in a clinic, and they get their tests from the dollar store, and i went to a women clinic where they also used those.
i do not like the "cheap" ovulation tests, but pregnancy tests are super fine. i think i would that a clear blue just in case after having a positive on a $1 test.
you can always misread tests, but it is easy if it says pregnant, not pregnant

thanks for taking the time to reply :)

i did my superdrug test thismorning and there just one stupid line, not 2 beautiful ones :(

so i am still NOT pregnant!!!!!

it must have been a dud test from the 99p store because a line came up in the time limit!!! arrrggghh!! but then i did another of the same brand yday and was neg, so with that bfn and my superdrug bfn (with fmu) i can surely say i am still babyless.
my boobs hurting must mean AF is on her way..................

:hugs: I'm sorry the second line didn't show up. BUT, that doesn't mean you can't get one in a day or two. I'll keep praying that AF doesn't show up. :dust: :dust: :dust:

hun i really don't want to put a dampner on things for you

but i was getting positive on clear response (which i'm guessig is the brand you are using) and neg on every other brand..... just please don't get your hopes up as it is heart breaking

also can i add, the 99p test also said my OH was pregnant..... avoid them please hun

They are reliable, but not very sensitive. Make sure you use them at least 1-2 days after your missed period to get an accurate reading.

They worked for me missmayhem. I got a faint positive back in November and I was pregnant then.

Maybe the one she used was damaged or something like that. Or was a chemical pregnancy. That's also possible even with clearblue and other tests.

then how the hell do u explain my bloke getting a bfp with them... i was getting false positives and as was he

I used two pregnancy strip tests (exactly the same ones as you) on the first day of my missed period. One came back negative whilst the other had the faintest line ever. I went to Savers and bought a two quid plastic mid-stream test and that came back completely negative. Still, my period didn't arrive so I was patient and waited a couple of days before buying a Clearblue test and that came back positive :) I'm now two months pregnant. I know it's normal to have false negatives but I don't know how a false positive would be caused? xx
