Are you eating your 5 a day?

Im really struggling to eat my 5 fruit and veg a day, I get one, maybe two, but I really have to force myself to pick vegetables over starchy foods or fast food =[

Anyone else struggling and have any suggestions?
 
I was really good up until a few weeks ago. I craved nothing but fruit and veg. Now though I can't seem to get more than one or two portions in me a day at a push. I've also been reaching for the startchy/fast foods like no tomorrow.
 
As a suggestion, and what works for me, is to drink fruit juices instead. I have an insane thirst so it's easy for me to drink my 5 a day in about an hour lol.
 
I've just made it a goal to reach to eat 5 a day. I tend to take 3 pieces of fruit to work, and eat them - admittedly after my nice chocolate biscuit in the morning! Then for dinner I serve myself 2 large portions of veg, and I make myself eat them before I eat the yummier parts of the meal, or at least finish the veg.

I've also increased DH's fruit and veg intake, and he isn't complaining so that helps a lot too :)
 
I'm doing well if I have 1 a day at the moment. am another who is living off junk. it's insane. planning to make a veggie bake, though, as I do love veg a lot more than fruit.
 
I managed to make myself have a salad tonight, so yay me! I used to drink a lot of fruit juices, I got threw a carton a day, and it started to get a bit expensive lol
 
Nope I don't like fruit or veg LOL :haha:. I've been eating bananas and drinking lots of fruit juice/smoothies though to try to make up for it so I guess i'm getting it through that :flower:. xxx
 
I'm really bad :( I'm so lazy when it comes to food and feel really guilty :(
 
Not really doing well at all with it, but btw fruit juice only counts as 1 portion regardless of the amount you have throughout the day xxx
 
Fruit juice and dried fruit on my cereal (sultanas usually) every day so I know I will get at least two portions. I would much rather eat carbs too but apart from weekends when we usually have take aways I always cook veg with dinner. I find fruit too acidic so prefer veg.
 
I'm doing pretty well. Eat my veggies with meals, and then I usually cut up a biggg plate of fruit after dinner to share with DH. Usually try to make it with 5 types of fruit and find it easy to get through when we're sitting there watching crap tv.
 
Yes I do basically because I was eating my 5 a day before I got pregnant - I am one of those freaks that loves vegetables .... I have fresh orange juice in the morning with a banana and an apple then at lunch time I have salad bar (at work) and then in the evening it is always vegetables with something - hubby hates me at the moment for not cooking crap xxxx
 
i have been struggling to eat full stop. i havent had my 5 a day because i physically couldnt eat that much. however i have pretty much dropped carbs at this point. they make me bloated, fill me up too quickly and give me constipation. ive been eating them in the mornings, but then fruit and crackers for lunch and a piece of meat and plain vegetables or plain salad in the evening followed by yoghurt and later on a bit of cheese or a milkshake. ive been eating pretty much the same every day.
 
Nope I'm struggling with my 5 a day too, I'm probs only having two or three max - I've never been a big lover of veg but I do love fruits such as strawberries, raspberries & grapes - trouble is they're not cheap!x
