So the contractions have started coming back... not to to tooooo terrible that I can not handle them but this is how they started last night and I ended up in horrible pain and at L&D so I decided to go ahead and give the clinic a call and talk to the Nurse Practitioner. She says that she has already spoke with the on call about me regarding these contractions and they can call me in some Vicodin and I can take the for pain as instructed on the bottle until I go into "real" labor!!! I am sooooo freaking urrggghhhh I do not even have the words to describe what I am right now... can they just treat me like this and leave me hanging? I mean, why cant i demand that they give me something to stop this ridiculous pain and they actually do it??????? they make me want to kick and scream and stomp my feet like one of my kids lol

Hi, I know it's hard to say but try and relax and take a nice warm bath. With my first I was only given paracetamol until I was 5cm and was in complete agony but I do remember having about 5 baths and they do sooth a bit... Hope u get the pain under control soon xxxx

unfortunately if your not in real or established labor there really isnt much they can do for you that they havent already. If your in that much pain take the vicoden prescription. Try and rest as much as possible and have as many wamr baths as you can. I know it sucks but there really is nothing more they can do.

Unfortunately some of us unlucky ladies go through weeks and weeks of painful but useless contractions.

I was in slow labour for 3 days and had nothing. Only on the 4th day when I was in established labour was I given pain relief. It sucks but the pain won't last forever x

I'd take the vicaden if you're in that much pain, but I don't understand how they will know if you're in real labor if they don't check your cervix.

I know, I know...but it FEELS like it will last forever and I have more like 3 or 4 weeks...not days.. so for you it probably wasnt as bad as it will be for me if I have to do this for 3 or 4 more WEEKS... grrr. They have calmed down a bit from earlier but I just seem to be terribly nauseated... LOL I get away from one symptom to pick up another

They checked me while I was at L&D last night and said my cervix was the same and they also said that they do not believe that the contractions I am having are strong enough to change my cervix  but I have a regular check up next week and will keep that and been seen before if I need to
