Hi guys

I was just thinking..

Egg transfer is quite a big deal and there is all kinds of different advice out there about how much time to take off. Generally, I get the idea its whatever you are comfortable with, i.e. if 14 days bed-rest is your thing, by all means but if your job isn't too stressfull and you avoid exercise, lifting heavy things etc you might be ok...

What to do? Anyone decided how much time they're taking off after egg transfer?

Im thinking something like a couple of days to a week - any longer and I'd get cabin fever, lol! :haha:

Think im going to take a week and do short shifts( 8 hours) for the second week. If i had someone to play with and some fun stuff to do id like to take two weeks but i think your right it woould be cabin fever PLUS the worsy 2ww ever on your own.i think id go mental. Although it depends how i react to the progesterone, im concerned about it as when i went in a progesterone pill in the past i reacted badly.

Are you sniffing or injecting at the mo? Any side effects???Hope its going well xx

Hi! I have been told both times to take 2 days off. This time I think I'm going to try for more just because it would be nice. :thumbup:It will depend on what my schedule will be like at work since I won't know exactly which days I will need until shortly before and it is hard for them to fill my spot because I work the midnight shift plus they can't work short.:nope:
Good luck to you!!:hugs:
ps when do you think you will do the ET? Any idea yet? I'm waiting for AF so I can start BC pills for a few weeks then on to stims.

1st time I had the whole of the 2ww off and the 2nd time I was on holiday anyway however this 3rd time I will only be taking a couple of days after EC, as long as I am alright I will go back to work - however my job isn't stressful.

Thing is if you go to work and get stressed or anything happens (such as once I was elbowed on the bikini-line by accident), and the IVF didn't work, would you blame it on the fact you didn't rest at home?

By the way it is going to work anyway hun :dust:

If it weren't for the constipation, I'd actually feel pretty great today (2d after ER)!
