Hiya, I'm new to this forum and this is my first pregnancy.

My name's Kate, I'm 19 and I live in Leeds with my partner.

Ever since we found out I was pregnant, we just had this 'feeling' that we were having a boy and we had settled on a boy name.

Last week at my 20 week scan we found out we're having a little girl. We were suprised but happy and excited (we didn't only want a boy it was just a feeling we had). The problem now, is that we can't agree on any names.

My partner likes Charlotte, Jennifer and Alice. And while these are nice, I feel that they're not... Interesting enough? Special enough? I dunno. They're just not names I'd imagine giving to my daughter.

I like Isla, Mina/Meena, Ruby, Matilda... And I'd quite like Rose as a middle name.

Can anyone think of a brilliant idea that would somehow merge his tradition liking to my alternative thinking?

Thanks in advance,

Kate. :)

Mia Rose
Ruby Marie
(There two off my old list before we chose Tara Jayde) x

im not that invetive with names but i think charlotte rose sounds very feminine and classy

xx

I really like Isla and Ruby, and love the name Rose as a middle name (my daughters middle name:winkwink:). Im not so keen on your other halfs choices, I tend to agree with you, so im not much help im afraid . However there are a lot more 'traditional' names that are popular now that sound lovely . Have a look through some of the old threads on here, there have been some great ideas. Good luck choosing hun and let us know how youre getting on. xx

u could have two middle names... Isla Charlotte Rose or Ruby Jennifer Rose etc :)

why not something like charlotta? Simililar to charlotte but with a bit of a difference like what you want? even maybe Jenna-Rose instead of Jennifer?

I like Charlotte and Isla out of yours and your OH's choices

How about something like Ella? Not too traditional but not too 'different' either xxx

Jenna Rose is very pretty! I think that is a good idea... maybe use your OH's name choices as a middle name or find a more modern twist on the name like Jenna instead of Jennifer! Or Allie or Aliza instead of Alice, for instance.

What if you used one of your first name choices with Charlotte-Rose as a middle name... that's pretty!

I like Charlotte out of your choices but I also like Alice.
Some on my list are Lucie,Imogen,Sophie and my daughter is called Aimee Grace (we were using Rose for a middle name til the last minute)

I like Charlotte Rose, but I'm not going to be happy if people call it Charlie or Lottie.
I'm so bloody awkward. Good job I have 4 months to sleep on it.
Thanks. :) x
