Im thinking of trying this stuff at 38 wks...or the other one u can start at 32wks...Its suppose to soften your perineum and make it more elastic...Anyone try it yet??

I've not bothered - my sister gave me some grapeseed oil which is suppose to do the same thing but I just cant get in to doing it!! x

My best friend had a baby on the 5th October, she has been using perineum oil since 1st tri (just to make sure! ). I've held on waiting to see how she got on in labour... She tore badly and has loads of stitches.... Baby only weighed 6lb 14oz...

She was very positive about though and said it could have been worse if she hadn't used the oil...? I'm not sure now if I'll bother though. xxx

I got a sheet on this last night at class and it suggested vit e oil or sunflower oil or wheatgerm oil. I'm gonna try vit e oil i think, may as well nothing to lose is there

I used Sweet Almond Oil from Boots everytime I've been pregnant. Never torn yet, although I did need an episiotomy last time to get the ventouse in as Toby was struggling with the cord wrapped tight round his neck....but that was coz it was an emergency not coz I didn't stretch enough.
