Arrg blue dye tests! update** not pregnant dont use sainsburys own brand

I am so pissed of i took a sainsburys own brand test this morning and befor i even peeded on it it had a fait negitive in the window but i still used it. I looked at it for about 2 mins and fort it was a dud so went back to bed

When i got up i looked at it and it is a positive
Im thinking is it a true bfp or a heartbreaking false positive?
Has anyone used the sainsburys own brand before? if so how did you find them? gonna take anuther test at about 3.00pm see if it looks the same as the frist one.

I had a rant about the sainsbury's blue dye tests on the tww forum...horrible tests! I got two quite strong bfps, thin lines but very clear. I was only 6dpo and did a FRER with FMU to check and of course BFN. They should be taken off the shelves. It's disgraceful. Thankfully I have been lurking on bnb for a while, and should have known better than to use blue dye tests but they were just there, and so I kinda knew to test again with pink dye.

There's a petition on the tww forum to get them banned.

Use FRER honey and best of luck sweetie I hope you get a real BFP

Thanks i have a doctors apointment next week so will find out from them but think im gonna go a buy a frer. My partner picked them up for me and i seen it was a blue dye i was no! but took it anyway lol

So im not pregnant didnt think i was but rang the sainsburys help line and she couldnt belive it so im getting my money back and a 20 pound gift card lol not bad i spose.

sorry it was a negative honey. Such a horrible way to have to find out.

Maybe I should ring them too. Awful awful tests.

She said on the phone that more people need to ring or they wont no how bad the problem is, so the more people who ring and complain the better x

Yer i think that is a good idea i took the other one in the box and it was a faint pos aswell then i took a first respose one and it was negitive so pissed of with it all me and my partner couldnt belive it

That's exactly what happened to me. There was two in the box so I did both. The second was so clear. Wider at the top though. I was furious. I mean I knew I wasnt as I had done a FRER with FMU and had nothing but a BFN.

They're awful tests.
