Arrival Of Liam Kirk

After 4 weeks of trying to turn Liam we were booked in for a Caesarean on the 11th February 2009. We arrived around 10an and were told we would go down around 2pm. We were taken to the theatre abnd I was just about to get the epidural when we were told to wait as they might haven an emergency. This upset me as i didnt know what was going on. we were given the go ahead at 3pm and by 15:21pm Liam arrived weighing a healthy 6 pound 9. They treated me for shock.

The aftercare at the hospital was a joke. They didnt change my catheter until it almost popped. I was left without pain killers or no pad change and my injections were missed as was mt breakfast and supper. I only managed to get my bandage off 2 days later when someone helped me out of bed.

We waited 5 hours for a paeditrition to come on the 13th when they kept saying Liam had been checked over when i knew he hadnt. We were dicharged last night 7 hours after the mess up.

But he is worth his weight in gold but i wouldnt rush to have another child.

many congratulations honey, i delivered by emergency c-section and i too had awful aftercare, i started to fill better after a week or so, and practically back to normally after 6 x
