Hello everyone
Well here's my story:
Me and my husband have been TTC for our first baby for over 6 years now, 2 years ago we decided enough was enough and went to the doctors. We was asked questions and my husband was sent for sperm tests, his first lot of tests came back at 1.2 million per m/l and then had a second test done 3 months later and went down to 990,000 per m/l. 6 months later he went for his 3rd sperm test and it was 1 million per m/l with everything else normal...
He then went on to have some DNA testing done, to see if it was anything in the DNA structure, in which all came back normal nothing wrong. We was then referred to a fertility clinic to start ICSI treatment, we went and seen the consultant and he weighed us both and we got the bad news that he would not carry out the treatment, because of a number of reasons, which included me having a high risk or eptopic pregnancy, BMI too high and my husbands BMI too high as well. We was told that even if we decided to lose the weight, in which I did achieve within a year, eh still wouldn't do it because of me being at risk still.
Now 2 years down the line, we have no idea where to go, we are desperate to have children now as I am 26 years old and my husband is 29 years old and we are not getting any younger. I have been suffering depression over the last year with anxiety attacks, as I feel so down with that knowledge I might grow up childless in which is not what we want.
Is there anyone in or been in the same position as us, as we feel like the only people? Does anyone have any advice? We cannot afford to go private and do not want to adopt.
Thanks for listening
