Hi there .. Im 35 next month and my husband and I have been trying for a baby for a year .... at what point do you start to worry that something not right and take your concerns to a doctor ?????

In my case it was about 8 or 9 months, after a year and especially if 35 or over you would be referred to a fertility specialist as obviously time is not on our side xxx

After 1 year of unprotected sex ttc is the time most people go irrespective of age, but u can go sooner if you ve already identified an issue . you can then go for a checkup ie if you use clearblue fertility monitor, u can tell within a few months if you're ovulating or not & the length of your cycles.?also its good if both of you go for a full check up. Foresight preconception charity website has alot of helpful info on preconception care ie looking atvphysical causes ie undiagnosed infections which are easily cured, checking vitamin & mineral levels & if fertility levels can be improved for the sperm & egg

It's good to do preconception preparation. I didn't want to randomly try as I was a smoker pre ttc & i wanted it to clear my system & take vits & minerals which I was sure the baby & I would need 1st. Then we had to destress about the process as it's heavy for both of you

At 41 my cycles shortened to 24 days. I still got pregnant 1st month trying with cbfm & both of us with pregnancy multivits. Now 8 weeks pregnant & 7 yrs ago had 11 lb fibroid removed. This was my 1st month ttc. Just use the wonderful technology that's available now. I didn't need clomid as clearblue digital monitor showed me the exact days when I was ovulating, but I would've considered it if I saw I wasn't ovulating

Good luck
Age is just a number :)

Good luck

Hiya,
Def need to seek out help if you've been trying for a year and no luck, doesn't mean it won't happen naturally but if there's a problem you can get it treated :) Best of Luck!!

I would go now, the usual rule of thumb is under 35 after 1 year, and over 35 after 6 months (since we have less time!). Have you been charting at all? If not and you aren't having frequent sex anyway you may be mistaken about when you ovulate.
