I had my 25th week scan and it showed my girl having a heart defect. The top chambers of the heart wall might have a hole. From what I read the seriousness of this depends on how big the hole is. Big holes may require surgery and small holes will require close monitoring. Holes in the walls of the heart wall may close on their own within 1 yr of the child's life. This happens in 1 in 100 babies and higher risk in multiples and girls. I am being referred to a fetal cardiologist and will get a more detailed scan in a couple weeks.
