August 2011 babies!!!

Thomas is wearing newborn still. He came out of tiny baby about a month ago.

What a lot of gorgeous August Babies! They are growing up so fast aren't they? Isn't it lovely to be chatted to and smiled at all the time though? :happydance:

Bree was born 2 weeks late at 6lb 8oz on 24th August and is now 10lb 15oz.

Here she is doing her lovely laugh! She is a right little chatter box :cloud9:

The sizing must be different. My LO was less than 12 lbs and has been out of NB clothes for 2 months. They only go up to 8-9 lbs in US. 0-3 mo is about 8-12 lbs and 3-6 is 12-18; depending on manufacturer.

Yari wears 3-6 & she's 13 lbs :) she's also very long & even 3-6 is sometimes too short hehe

Oscar was born 03/08/2011...13 days late...weighing 7lbs 12oz....5 hour 55 mins recorded labour after being induced :D

oh and Oscar is now over 13lbs and wearing 0-3 clothes, some of his newborn still fit him and when he was born he was in tiny baby :D

This is the first time I've seen this thread, I do have an August baby :happydance:

However, I was just watching the wright stuff and they mentioned a news story about august babies, thought you might be interested in reading it

I hope now they are aware of it something will be done to rectify it before our LO's get to school age

Thomas is 12lb but fits into 10lb clothes. I don't know where he hides the weight.

Cleo was 11lbs at 9 weeks, shes 12 weeks now not sure what she weighs but she wears 3 to 6 months as she is a little pudding! they are way too long on the arms and legs but her belly and chubby legs fill them out!

I always worry about that her being an August baby, it must be so hard in the early years as there is a full year difference in some kids, my birthday is 30th sept and a had a best friend who was 31st august so she was a whole year almost younger than me!

My boy is 13lbs and has been wearing 3-6 for 2 weeks now. The 0-3 is toooo short for him.

We will likely start LO in school at 6 instead of 5 because of this. My parents did this for my brother and me (we were both late July). I have mixed opinions on it-- I was always older than my schoolmates, which sometimes was good (I was the 1st to drive, etc.), but I also felt excluded more times than not because with sports and cheerleading, for example, they went by age not school grade so I had to leave my friends early and join the bigger kids whom I didn't know--so I often chose to just give up the sport at the time, because I didn't enjoy it without my pals. Plus, I was always bored in school, maybe because I should have been a year ahead. I think you just can't know really what's best, we are all different.

Hi ladies! All your August babies are gorgeous!

hope ella will be like that, 8 week jabs. NIGHTMARE!!! she screamed the house own. setting the other babies off. an the looks the mums give me. :nope: think they were dreading there turn. an it made her really drowsy for the rest of the day. it took a few days for her to be back to the happy little flower she normally is:kiss:

Quin just had his 8 week jabs. He cried for 2 seconds and that's it. He weighs 10 lbs now and wears newborn in some and 0-3 in others.

Oh no, I forgot there were more jabs at 12 weeks! Olivia is 12 weeks on Friday so I'd better get it sorted! She was so upset after the last ones. I hope the next ones are a bit better.

Oh wow, I was hoping to find an August group somewhere. :)
Mind if I join? Isaac was born 6 days early on the 23rd of August via EMCS.
8lbs0oz & 20" long; he's now 10 weeks and is the happiest bubba!
I'm so proud. As I'm sure we all are! :D
