Well we managed to go a good couple of months without any bowel problems but the last couple of days we've had some horrendous nappies! Five yesterday, really smelly and mucusy, four today that are the same. She hasn't eaten anything new and I've been giving her food that's gentle on her tummy.

She totally fine in every other way, no temperature, drinking/eating/peeing normally. I know she's teething cos I can see the top ones just below the gums and she has one or two horrendous tantrums a day, which she does when she's teething, but we didnt have the awful nappies with the bottom two teeth.

What are everyone else's experiences, did you get awful nappies while teething too?

**update, June 17th: She has a nasty tummy bug, she's had a temp all weekend and has awful diarhea. She's very sad and clingy, crying a lot, and not interested in food. Had her to the docs today where they've taken a poo sample to see if its viral or bacterial. Poor little thing. Doc says lots of babies in our area have rotavirus at the moment and the runs can last two weeks and cause temporary lactose intolerance.

Hope all the rest of your LOs mentioned in this thread are ok x

LO has the runs when he teethes and it really smells. Its his teething poo lol it doesnt last long but its not pleasant and theres always loads of it (sorry tmi) I think its quite normal x

Yes, going through the same thing right now with the top teeth. The smell is soooo gross!

Logan has had bad poo nappies the last couple of days. His top two teeth have cut in the last week but not sure if it's related?
He didn't have bad nappies with bottom teeth though

Aww poor babies :( sounds like we're not alone then. Its like when she was a newborn again, I'm not used to changing nappies this often anymore!

And us (well more aoife than me!!) lol x it's horrid... Think I had 1 2nite. She's been chewing and dribbling like mad and were due some more pegs.... Back to korma nappies.... Lovely!

We had about three weeks of them randomly around 6-7 months but it didn't seem to be related to teething :( it just went away on its own.

I have been wondering the same thing? My LO's poo is always runny cuz we're breastfeeding but usually she poops in the morning within a couple hours of waking up then thats usually it for the day, but yesterday and today pretty much all but one diaper have been muscousy runny squirts? i tried looking for a tooth today but she really doesnt let me peek...?

We've had this for 3 weeks now, just starting to tail off. Usually he would poo a few times a day, but with teething it's been up to 15! I can see the teeth, but still nothing poking through :coffee:

We're going through the same too! LO cut her first bottom tooth last week, and think there's more coming. She usually does a poo first thing and that's it for the day. Yesterday we had 5. And, OMG, the smell...!!!!

We're on our first one of the day already! Had to wake her up lastnight to change her bum after going into her room to check on her and was greeted with a wall of stench, bleurghhhh. Her cheeks are soooo pink today and she's a bit grumpy. Good job we're going her nana's for the day! :)

Okay, so LO has cut another tooth - shes got the 2 bottom ones now. First came last week, second yesterday, but she's still having terrible poops today. Is this still because of those teeth or is she likely to get the top ones too???

I noticed Liam had runny nappies when he cut his first two teeth. Still waiting on any more teeth so I can't say for sure if it was that, as the two came in at the same time lol.

Pinkvc how long has your LO been pooping now? We're on day five now and she has a temperature tonight and been crying all day, rang the doc for some advice and he thinks it might be a tummy bug :( awful seeing her so sad.

Well she cut her first tooth about 10 days ago, and her nappies have been on and off nasty since then. She is fine in herself generally tho which is why I think it's teething rather than a bug. If it continues though I'll take her to clinic on Tuesday.

Has your LO cut any teeth yet? Is she eating ok and getting plenty of fluids?

Sorry, just seen that she has her bottom 2! I wonder if my LO is cutting a top tooth - I have no idea whether they tend to have bad nappies particularly when cutting the top teeth??!!

I've read a lot of people saying they had bad experiences with top two teeth. I can see both under the gums and also the two next to her bottom teeth.

She's taking her food and fluids fine, won't keep her sippy cup in her mouth for long though and keeps spitting dummy out.

I feel awful for her, she just wants to be cuddled by me all the time :( if she's no better tomorrow I may take her to a walk-in centre x
