I love my OH to bits but he is being so awkward about the whole TTC thing. I have bought him vitamins and zinc tablets to take and he keeps saying he'll take them but then forgets and gets really mad at me when i remind him saying i'm trying to control him.

I have to take clomid to help me ovulate and we have recently been through a miscarriage which has been devastating but at least we know the clomid works and i am going to start it again as soon as I get AF. OH however keeps drinking and smoking like it's going out of fashion and I keep trying to explain that we can't just "take it easy and leave things to mother nature" as i have to have the clomid and therefore we have to BD when I'm ovulating and obviously drinking affects the, ahem, performance and ability, and also can cause low sperm counts etc. I am going through all this with the tablets and charting and opks etc and I really don't feel like he's making the effort. i have tried to talk to him to make sure this is what he wants and he says it is, so i really don't understand how he can be so selfish. ANY advise would be more than welcome!!!

Thank you. x

hi, im not really sure if i can help much except that I think some men just deal with things by not thinking about them, as apposed to us women who do the opposite, i feel like I spend every waking moment on bnb, searching the internet, just thinking about the whole ttc process :blush:

Dont get me wrong, I know this is what my dh wants as you said the same but I just think they prefer the 'bury your head in the sand approach'

:hugs::hugs:

I can relate. It felt an uphill struggle with my DH but now he's more on board thankfully.
There were a few milestones in our journey that got my DH to co-operate more and more.

With the tablets, I put my DH's in a little pot right next to his dinner plate of an evening, it saved me nagging and checking if he'd taken them!

Neither of us smoke but DH used to drink more than I was happy with while TTC, we agreed initially that he'd just track it and he was pretty shocked to see how easy it was to go over 22units a week. He cut down himself then to just weekends and since starting ART treatment has cut to just the single odd drink once every few weeks and nothing in the month or so before IVF.
