baby and cold

Harry will be 3weeks old tomorrow. He has a cold so his nose is stuffy and he has a little cough and the odd sneezing fit. I have used a nasal aspirator to clear his nose, but it isn't great but he seem ok with the cold. He is taking 4oz of bottle. Do I need to take him to Dr cos he has a cold?? Or is there anything i can give him to unblock his nose. ? I don't want t seem over the top about this but i honestly don't know what to do for the best with him being so small.

Poor little guy.

There's not much that a doctor can do about a cold, but you can definitely get him checked to make sure there is no fluid on his lungs.

Some ways of easing the nasal congestion:

Take him outside in the cool air.
Vicks Plugins
Triaminic Flowing Vapors
Saline Drops for his nose
When lying him down, put something under his head so it is elevated.
Run a hot shower so the room steams up and bring him into the room
A cold humidifier
