Baby belly measuring small help

HI girls
Today went to the doctor at 32w5d and got an ultrasound. Baby weighs 3 pounds, measures right on track but his abdomen is 2-3 weeks behind....

Heeeeelp! Anyone had this? Why?

I'm going through this as well. Baby was measuring 4lb 1oz at 33w4d. She is quite small and the abdomen is measuring like 2.5 weeks behind. I'm being monitoring really, really closely because of it. I also had low fluid, so that is a reason as well.

Did you midwife/dr. say anything? I would assume they will have another ultrasound in a couple weeks to make sure he is growing...

Yes they will do another ultrasound in two weeks. He is 3-4 pounds, sorry. i am just worried... is he going to be okay? I feel helpless

I am sure baby will be fine. They are really off w/ those things. It isn't perfect technology~!

Don't worry, dear. They are keeping a close eye on it, so you know you are in good hands. I was very, very worried as well, but I am monitored so closely that there is no reason for concern right now. With our baby it seems that she is small, but she seems to be gaining weight none-the-less. You may just be having a small baby with a small stomach. Just wait it out and see what happens. Make sure you keep on top of movements to make sure he is doing OK. Also, rest and drinks lots of water These are the things I have to do, and it seems to be really helping things.

Megans last growth ultrasound at 36+6 showed that all her measurements were between 32 weeks -34 weeks ... Abdomen being the smallest measurement. They said she was 41/2 - 5 lbs at the most so they adviced inducing that night as with those measurements they said she hadn't grown in a month since the last scan. She was born the next day and weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and perfectly healthy. So scans can be off. Good luck to you!

I just wanted to stop in and say I'm 34+5, baby is measuring 37+5 and belly measured 31cm last week. Today she measured and got 33cm. so still about 2 weeks behind. don't worry. she told me fundal height isn't accurate towards the end because baby can drop which throws off the measurements and thats why mine is off. fingers crossed for you xxz

She was actually talking about her babies belly, not fundal height. The abdomen of the actual baby is measuring 2-3 weeks behind.

I'm sorry. I read it wrong . my lo is measuring weeks bigger with her head and body, but not her femurs. I'm starting to wonder how accurate scans really are. they are saying she weighs over 6lbs, but I can feel and watch her move and she looks tiny to me.

i hope all is well with your lo. I'm sorry I read it wrong. I was up very late/till this morning and apparently I shouldn't post when I'm that sleepy.
